Two things, the guy that went on the pitch was Lennons mates, so i have heard anyway ad to be fair if my mate scored a goal that got a point or even a win against our biggest rivals I'd be on there dry humping him aswell.

Second point, Afetr the sunderland game there was a full scale riot in the town and fireworks chucked at the police.

Exactly, I agree, the Gooners have been no.1 for many years.

There's not really much difference between running on the pitch to celebrate with your team or running onto the pitch and assaulting someone. I know that sounds daft, but the general link between them is they are still running onto the pitch. I love to see people running onto the pitch, really gets my adrenalin going if it's for a team I like or want to win. But, looking at it in a serious mind, clubs and police can't have one rule for some and other rules for another. You can't run onto the pitch. It's as simple as.

And, I have never felt the need to run onto the pitch. Hearts away two seasons ago, Barry Nic equaliser last minute, I was more intent on jumping around with my mates than suddenly thinking 'wait a minute, lets jump this barrier and go onto the pitch'.

I think it's clear frank that no-one thinks they should be banned for life, but you're suggesting there's nothing wrong with it I presume? If so, then you would be the dick.

friggsake min, get a grip

Yeah i may be a dick, been told that enough times infact the girlfriend just said similiar when she asked what the frigg i doing on the web at this time.

but were talking about one guy who has just seen his team score in the last minute, against his biggest rivals, so what he jumped on the pitch, big wooopee do, major crime, and he was on the pitch pretty sharpish so doubt he had to barge past anyone to get there.

I never said anyone mentioned a thing about him being banned for life, I said banned, and I stand by that anyone who thinks this bloke should be banned for even one game is a dick!! Am sure a stern warning fae the coppers, and the usual 30 mins in a back of the van, would be more than enough

And I am old enough to remember, why as you say policing & Stewards are the way they are today, and if you honestly think its due to the odd guy running on to the pitch to celebrate a goal, then you deluded mate,

When I saw it on MOTD, I almost cried. It was so beautiful to see a fan being treated as an equal by the players, rather than as a customer. You've just tarnished that idea by telling me that!
