The Boofon
I'm calling that out as bullshit. Without using a tyre depth gauge yourself and actually seeing the tyres close up how can you tell that they didn't need to be changed? My guess is they are on the expensive side as most big name places tend to be you seen your bill and being a grippy farmer decided to fabricate a story. You say you've seen it but you've never been there to get work done. As I said utter lies.Completely fabricated I agree. Keeping tyres back and selling them on is so made up. Link to comment
ericblack4boss
I've been there with other folk getting tractor tyres done cunto I didn't say I hadn't been there you cretin,Fine get ripped off by those cunts they don't use tyre gauge, they just looked, it was some old woman not a fucking clue, and they saw her coming, And for your information chief, when I used to book stuff in for Saturday sales at thainstone, was it just coincidence that certain staff members would turn up with a quantity of used tyres to sell, I suppose it was. RedBarron
I remember years ago buying a dvd from a bloke in the pub titled "Bald & Barely Legal".What a dissapointment when I got home ready to knock one out only to discover it was a Department of Transport film on tyre safety. 1 Link to comment

You've added the bit about thainstone on obviously what value is there to be made at a mart from tyres with a couple mm left on them? Because it was an old wifey your assuming that she was ripped off despite not even seeing them yourself from the waiting room or wherever you need to watch from there. If you did so happen to see the tyres then well done to you for letting them rip of an old women. Cretin. Link to comment

Reed or deed
I recommend Cooper tyres, for fuck sake don't go near that robbing bastards tawse in inverurie, I've been there and watched the cunts , make a fool out of the usual clueless cunts that turn up for tyres, Cue the alleged checking of a tyres road legalness, upon this check which usually ends with every tyre being dangerously bald, which to any cunt that has a shade of knowledge can see they are not, they are removed then put to a separate pile to the actual bald ones, ( to be sold for cash privately) then the customary recommendation of the dearest tyres they have is suggested to replace the removed ones, the customer asks the cost, and the reply is they are the best, usually Goodyear, or whatever, They are then ripped off something cunting whilst the thieving fuckers laugh at another suckerBefore you ask, no never used them before and never will, but I know from the way they used to try to rip off donside tyres customers,Bitter cunt of a post / personal grudge of the week.Congratulations, you are a winner .......... I seen all that needed to be seen on the BBC programme about the place. Beasts, teuchters and cowboy car salesmen. So despite knowing these tyres came from ripped off customers you did fuck all about it? Farmers eh anything for a quick buck as long as it doesn't affect their own. Tell us the real reason you hate Tawse Tyres? Is it because they are successful. Link to comment

There are calculators online like this one http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/tyre-wheel-calculators/speedo-error-calculator General rule of thumb is if you go down a profile size you increase the rim size. So if you want 35s increase the rim to 20" 1 Link to comment

But beergut is right there should not be much difference (no speedo is hugely accurate anyway). You can gauge how much effect there is via using GPS devices to monitor your speed accurately and compare to the speedo. Link to comment
