spamspamspam
sounded like a really good 2nd half. Great result and TSMSTID drawing with St J is about the best result we could hope for. Top 6 only 4 points away Link to comment
OddJob
Well that was a nerve-wracking last few minutes. Hopefully that's our "grinding out a result" game out of the way and we can play better football against the Jambos on Saturday. Edit: What does TSMSTID mean? Link to comment
cammyt
Big win tonight! Now seriously in with chance of top 6 - which if combined with a cup final place then it might not be that bad a season afer all!! COYR Link to comment
Monkey
Good result tonight. Next three games, Hearts, St Johnstone and then Utd, another three big games but we appear to be building up a bit of momentum. Link to comment
rossafc92
Brown said it would be close, and it was. Didn't feel we'd stroll this game as Hamilton will provide a difficult game for anyone now given their position. Very happy we've managed to grind this one out, and it sounded like our defending was good. Sounds like Vernon had a poor game but the commentary team seemed to pick up on the fact of how much more settled we look with Milsom, McNamee and Smith. That's promising and hopefully we can produce more 'football' against Hearts on Saturday, as we'll need it against them. Oh, and Richard Gordon is a great commentator! Link to comment
Pash
f**kING GET IN THERE!!! Most important thing was to follow that 5-0 with another win, doesn't matter what the score was as long as we won. Another clean sheet will do nicely too! Let's keep it going. Link to comment
SkyeDon
Massive 3 points tonight! With a realistic chance of getting into the top six now and a cup game to look forward to in Paisley it could turn out to be a good end to the season after all the torture! Lets hope so...well done Dons! Link to comment

bland_flabbis
7 points away from 4th place. sounds quite an impressive turnaround in fortunes - considering the sh*t we've been going through before Broon came along. If it wasn't for the split I'd be pretty confident of us finishing 4th as since Brown took over we're gaining points on all the teams below the top 3. It's more a question of whether we can claw back the gap enough before the split to make the top six. Link to comment
Mouse
Every single one deserves a medal. That's real fitba fans.Agreed. A team who are probably going to be relegated and basically no chance of winning much and they travel up to Aberdeen on a miserable night deserves credit. We were pretty poor tonight and looked like conceding a few. Lucky 3 points as Accies gave a right go and deserved at least a point. Not Maguires night tonight, but can't fault his commitment Link to comment

We started off well and I thought we played some really nice football... but it all turned south, Hamilton didn't give us a chance to play. It wasn't Maguire's night at all, but I've noticed him getting more and more greedy. In fairness, didn't think Vernon or McArdle had a great game either - the latter stopped alot but his passing and headers were pretty off the mark (didn't help that Diamond didn't seem to be getting that involved and left him to do everything) Milsom also looked like he maybe aggravated his injury again, hope that doesn't turn out to be the case Link to comment
RAZOR
Another win, another 3 points, another clean sheet. There's no doubt we'd have lost that in the past but we scraped through. Mcardle was poor and had to be hooked or there equaliser was coming.Maguire, where to start. Well taken pen but bloody hell son. You will not get a move anywhere missing chances like that. spamspamspam
3 very welcome points but that was dire viewing. Did Mr Gordon make it sound a lot better on the radio than it was on the park then K-9? Listening to him it sounded like the 2nd half was end to end. Link to comment
Sandafc
Certainly not the best viewing but Maguire missed at least 3 chances in the second half to make it a much more comfortable evening. Game was hard thought and scrappy exactly like Brown said it would be. Link to comment
Foster14
I f**king hate Hamilton. Terrible team made up of a bunch of cloggers set up primarily to frustrate. Bring teams down to their level. Can't wait to see the back of them. As for us, first and foremost, a fairly disciplined performance. Not all that often I thought we were in genuine danger of conceding. Player by player: Langers - Did well in general. Only real issue was his distribution. If you are going to do the quick punt up the park to the one player up there, just make sure you put it at least in the right general direction. McNamee - Caused us some major problems tonight with his unwillingness just to play it safe. Going forward, he looked decent though. Smith - See McNamee. Makes me wonder if Brown is telling them to try and play football out of the back, but again was very risky tonight. McArdle - Not his best night. Again like the two full backs, put us in danger by trying to play precise passes out of the back when they weren't there. Some of his attempted headers were bizarre too. Diamond - The first time in a good while that I can genuinely think to myself that Diamond has played well in back to back games. Solid and good decision making. Aluko - Decent first half when he got the ball and did well for the penalty (ridiculous challenge from the defender, there was no danger). Anonymous the second half. Jack - Game passed him by a lot. Couple of neat touches and some decent covering, but think he is capable of a lot better. Young - Did nothing. f**k all. Ran around a bit. Waste of a man. Milsom - Looked decent enough, but was not helped by us being overrun in midfield for most of the game. Class still seemed to stand out though. Vernon - Decent first half when he was getting the ball in and around the feet. Not much luck in the air. Should have had a goal if Maguire had squared to him. Overall, disappointing though, I'd have had Magennis on earlier. Maguire - I'd be intrigued to see a stat on this, but other than a few fleeting moments from Aluko in the first half, Maguire was the only one regularly looking for the ball in attacking positions and worked hard. Terrible miss with the 1 on 1, and should have squared on his third chance of his 3 in 5 minutes or whatever it was, but beyond that I though he was one of the better players on show tonight. Yes there were a fair amount of errors, but he was involved so much more than anyone else there and a lot more willing than most. Fouled a ridiculous amount of times too. Considine - Did better than McArdle, but risked a lot by clambering all over their forwards repeatedly. Hartely - Seemed to settle things a bit when he came on and was more influential in midfield than Young. Magennis - Not enough time, but his physicality caused more issues than Vernon was. McDonald - anonymous as ever. Ref - sh*t. Took too long to take action on the repeat offenders in the Hamilton team when they were late in to every challenge. Hamilton - c**ts. Brown - Think he should have went to 4-5-1 in the second half as their midfield was over-running ours and there was not enough sticking to Vernon in the game. Magennis should have replaced Vernon, and Maguire should have been pushed back to the right wing with Jack sitting inside one position. Overall: Just happy with 3 points... Link to comment

Bebo did miss about 4 chances that were easier to score mind you but think Hamilton will feel bit hard done by to lose. We just never got going at all. Link to comment

Old Wing Stand
3 welcome points but a woeful performance anf how the f@ck Bebo got man of the match we could have won comfortably if he hadn't been so greedy.Hopefully we'll raise our game against Hearts on saturday Link to comment
King Street Loon
God that was hard to watch, but 3 points is 3 points. Nothing else to say about the game except that it was an abject performance and I'm glad Brown and Knox aren't happy with the performance either. Link to comment
Dandyjam
First half played ok I thought but lacked cutting edge, Aluko and Diamond missing easy chances. Penalty was a stonewaller, converted well by Maguire. Second half we were dire and thought it was only a matter of time before Accies equalised - a better side would have scored once, maybe more. Ref seemed determined to keep his cards in his pocket too. At the end of the day, it's 3 points but insipid viewing. Link to comment
