thebladder
With 11 men, we would have won that game....with 10 it was just a matter of time. We really wouldn't. Link to comment
Down Under Sheep
No way first one was a pen. He clipped his ankle, guy was smart enough to go down as he realised he had a heavy touch. 100% pen, as much as it hurts to admit it, the ref got it right. Link to comment
vanderark14
heres my tuppence worth Clanger - had a good game yesterday and covered his near post well and then the free kick from mulgrew came in and I thought WTF - 6 Young - in a position that he shouldn't and then moved to centre half. he did well in unfamiliar surroundings -6 Diamond - started well but thought he faded and should have led the team better after the sending off - 5 Considine - hopefully he's not being ripped to shreds as I don't believe he should have gone. I also thought there was a hint of offside before the challenge but we'd never get such a decision. He was doing well till the sending off - 5 Smith - a good left back that we will struggle to hold on to IMO. he was one of our best yesterday - 7 Megennis - people on here have championed this guy recently, why I don;t know, he is slower than a week in jail and has a worse first touch than Darrem Mackie, out jumped many times by a tiny tim left back - 4 Milsom - tried to keep the passing moving and linked up well with Aluko on the wing - 6 Aluko - beat his man and tried his heart out but why he was switched wings early on I'll never f**king know, he started so brightly too. One of our best yesterday - 7 JAck - did well and got stuck in but misplaced a lot of passes - 6 Maguire - I'll get shot for this but I don;t care, he was nowhere near as good as some seem to be making out. He was up there doing the lonely role BUT several times he just watched for far away as they moved the ball about with ease, I know its a tiring job but he didn't put in as much effort as I expect from a lone striker. his first touch was also poor which caused him problem. However when he did get the ball under control and put in the effort he held the bloody thing up well which made it even more infuriating - 6 Vernon - challenged for every ball and then thrown in to centre mid - WTF is that all about - 6 I hate the tims more than any other club in the world right now, their fans are sh*t, their manager is a scumbag and I just want him out of scottish football, they have the SFA in their back pocket despite what their media chums tell us and they have Charlie Mulgrew in their team. The man is a f**king mink and I hate him. EDIT - Willie Collum is also a c**t, it was not a sending off for a start. Any time a dons player breathed on a tim it was a foul. Scott Brown swipes at Smith and he's given a talking too WTF?? Any time Aluko or Maguire got the ball on the wing they had the tim defenders hand in their face and despite the fat grey haired linesman and Collum being yards from it they let it go. diamondsr4ever
we got it wrong at half time, vernon off for vadju, young into the middle of the park. there was no way Vernon was ever going to track midfield runners... anyway 10 men, best passing team in the league, always going to sruggle I suppose Link to comment
TheG_L_A
Tbh, I'm sick and tired of hearing the same old apologist nonsense from some on here about how certain players give their all. The simple fact of the matter is, the vast majority of them are not good enough to wear the shirt. We are rank rotten and have been for 3yrs now, ever since our Europa League exit to Bayern. It's been all downhill ever since. Football is a results based business. No more, no less. Effort, while an admirable quality, does not always yield results and when it does not, the culprits must be discarded to make way for suitable replacements. In any other business, the staff would have had a mammoth cull, but instead we have the same apologist kid gloves approach ("ach, but at least he gives his all" and other pish). Sign of how far we have fallen... (as a side note, we've matched JC's best Cup record of 2 semi-finals, all 3 of which were 4 goal defeats. That this was seen as "success" on his part would be funny, were it not tragic that our best and worst seasons in recent years - i.e. the past 15yrs - are largely interchangeable except for one European run) Exactly ^^^^ Ollie, I know we were down to ten men, but going a man down means you have to try harder. All I saw were poofs who had given up. I'm not happy with the effort, it's a shame that you are. Link to comment
Stoney
Im not sure what everyone was expecting. Half the team are still Calderwoods losers. The manager has to get rid of the last of these clowns in the summer and build a football team! Link to comment

minijc
As soon as we put Maguire up top on his own the result was always going to be of a similar one as to what it was. Link to comment

minijc
Why not? I thought we were matching them, if not more, in every area.We were well on top for the first 20 minutes, even with ten men we were still playing really well and getting forward, i think we may have gotten it in to extra time had we kept 11 on the field. rossafc92
get willie miller oot! saw him swaning about the lounge in hampden like nothing had happenend!! What do you want him to do? Sit in the corner and cry? Of course the guy will have cared. I was in the hospitality section for the League Cup Semi Final and whilst he was trying to have a laugh with some friends, he was genuinely hurting. He came over and spoke to me for 10 minutes and I can tell you he cared very much. Link to comment
