King Street Loon
Utterly woeful game and I think I paid attention to about 15 to 20 mins of the game in total. Possibly less. Paton needs sold, Diamond showed why everyone is glad he away to the LSC. Vuja, just got pass marks and Aluko looked lively. Enjoyed seeing Zander stripped of captaincy.Don't buy Browns reasoning for it though. Can't have a Hearts player captaining us. The season can't end quick enough as far as I'm concerned. rossafc92
Aye, honestly despair about you, do you go to many games? Why? I've only missed two away games in all competitions (both Caley games) and attended 8 games at Pittodrie this season. I was at both the semi finals and have seen 4 games at Pittodrie that were on tv. RUL
Because you just stated "there's a good framework of a side there for Brown to work with". I'm sitting here thinking the exact opposite, the only conclusion being you must not attend any games to think that and be like your weeige cousin, MT, who proclaimed Langfield to be good at kicking because Craig Burley told him that in a game once. The rest of us knew Langfields kicking was sh*te because we've put up with it 10-20 times a season achieving f**k all and missing everyone. Anyway, I digress and don't think even Brown thinks he has a good framework to work with, irrespective if the two out of contract players you mention stay. Link to comment

Well for the record, I think Langfield's kicking is his worst attribute. And I think Craig Burley is a pr1ck. When I say "framework", what I meant was: good batch of youngsters e.g. Pawlett, Jack, Robertson, Megginson etc; more to be promoted from the u19s e.g. Grimmer, Low, Brown etc; several players returning from injury e.g. Folly and Fyvie (the two most important ones I feel); a man who can score goals and hopefully more with better service (Vernon). If the three players I mention stay then I feel that adds to this "framework". I think that his shopping list would then be: 1 x goalkeeper, 1 x full back, 2 x centre back, 1 x winger, 1 x attacking midfielder, 1 x striker. I don't think 7 players is too unreasonable a number to expect to get over the summer. Three loans and four bosmans probably. Link to comment
OddJob
Utterly shocking game of football but we deserved the reesult as Inverness were far more shocking than us, despite us being pretty woeful aswell. Thought Aluko probably our best player but only showed in couple of flashes. Paton was beyond shocking!!Summed up by his unbelievable miss in the 1st half, f**king hell my mum would have scored that and she's just had a knee operation too. Surely to god he's not keeping him now? Link to comment

The rest of your opinion is spot on imo, I agree entirely, just wasnt sure about your original post but glad we see the same thing! Was under the impression Grimmer wasn't going to make it though, just going by folk who attend youth games (which I don't). Link to comment

I think Grimmer has been playing right back most of this season for the u19s. I seem to remember reading on here that apparently he wasn't pleased at that but Neil Cooper and Neil Simpson were quick to praise him when they could for his performances there. I think he will be seen more in first team affairs next season, whether that be in midfield or right full back remains to be seen I guess. Link to comment
ollie1903
Jack Grimmer, in the games I have saw him in this season, has been a stand out. Not that many mind you as he has been away on international duty and injured, but he has a bright future IMO. I think we will sign an experienced right back in the summer and Grimmer will be part of the first team squad more often than not to learn from him Link to comment
GPz750R1
3 Points and a good goal taken by Pawlett and that's the only positives I took from this game. Link to comment
madjockmcferson
Not Aberdeen related but Pars 1 up so on course to win first division, they have 4,000 fans at Morton today. Meh. Their average gate is not much better than Hamilton. Anyone can take 4,000 to an important game. Its who you have on a cold November weekday that counts. They get f**k all so they are a waste of time. Link to comment
madjockmcferson
I enjoyed the game today. Thought we played well. I mean overall the standard is still f**king terrible but its not as bad as you lot are making out. Link to comment
a don in oz
It wasn't a great game but we deserved the 3 points. Won't be sorry to see Diamond gone... had a couple of horror moments. A win is a win though and that did me. Link to comment
onlyjim
This has to be the shortest match thread ever. Was it really that bad?Well at least we got the three points. Link to comment
zander
A typical boring meaningless end of season game, other than that I seemed to pick up a half decent sun tan at yesterdays game. Link to comment
madjockmcferson
It wasn't that bad. We played some nice football at times but we clearly lack a cutting edge up front. Bebo played really well, was enthusiastic and skillful. Smith got up and down the wings, Vuca was solid and dependable and Young had a solid game. Yes, it had an end of season feel about it with neither team much to play for (except prize money re league position) but both teams tried to play football with-in their limited ability. centraldon
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/13254093.stm Paton's miss Sheer and utter panic at being one on one I imagine. Possibly one touch too many. Either take it earlier or go round the keeper. Did neither and panicked. Decent save from Clangers. Aluko looked to have a decent game. Very well worked team goal. Good work from Bebo in the build up. Impressed. Link to comment
gypsymuffin
It was a poor game, but at least we won. Thought the referee was good. Link to comment
NorthernLights24
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/13254093.stm Paton's miss Unbelievably bad. I really hope he is one of the under contract players Brown had said will be asked to leave. I was willing to give him a chance when he was trying to establish himself as a first team player but he is just another non-scoring striker. Link to comment
paddy
Paton's miss looks even worse on the highlights. What a stinker. Diamond should have scored that header aswell. At least we won though. Good to see PP get his first afc senior goal. Link to comment
