Bluto10
After game 1, I'm pretty certain he'll score more than Liverpool will score this season. I can't see them scoring 10 goals, they are root. P.S. A transfer fee doesn't make a player. Veron moved to Man United for 27 million. Diouf moved to Liverpool for 11 million. Just because you want me to also, Suarez goals for Uruguay... ha ha. what a funny career he had. Link to comment

Who said a transfer fee makes a player ? the fee is the one thing the player can not determine. Just pointing out that he now has the tag as most collective transfer fees, overtaking Anelka. I just think that over the last 18-24 months, Ibrahimovic has matured greatly, and has added big goals in big games to his CV, which was certainly missing a few years ago. Link to comment

E-P-K
And I still don't think he deserves this 'World Class' tag that he gets. I standby this comment, he's a greedy bugger and misses a hell of a lot of chances, and tries to do far too much himself. There are numerous strikes I'd chose over Ibra. It must be the games I watch, but he doesn't perform (maybe the pressure is on because he knows I'm watching). This is understandable, the peer pressure of Roberto watching must be huge. Also, please note the numerous strikes you rate above him. Link to comment

tup
I have an in built mistrust of foreigners. The only thing that matters to me in the footballing sense is the continued resurgence of the famous Aberdeen FC, which is now gathering serious pace. We can win the SPL this season, Celtic are very poor and need to be attacked like their bigoted twins were, from all angles, by all other teams. Ross County did it brilliantly on Saturday, as we did the week before, and they quickly ran out of ideas. All these fanny dancers can score as many as they want for foreign clubs, it's meaningless to me. Link to comment

Would not have Hulk in that upper echelons, and do not know enough about Yilmaz other than he scores a cornucopia of goals in Turkey, so did Sukur but did didly squat in the EPL. Link to comment
Bluto10
I know Torres will come back, unfortunately. He still has it, and proved he can cut it when he first came to Liverpool - Chelsea will see the best of him this season, I fear. im not so sure. its been a long time since torres was a good player. 2 years now. that to me suggests something more rpofound tahn a dip in form. Bluto10
Aye, I'd say being played when he was never 100% fit, nor giving him a chance to recover putting strain on his body when he was being asked to do so much. He's over that now I feel, and could be deadly again, he'll most certainly start and get a run of games this season given Drogba has gone. just cause he has done it ion the past, doesnt mean his career will rise to that level again. plenty examples of players who are good one season, then shit the next. Bluto10
no he wasnt. i dint mean to imply he was. just said how he was good one minute then not good the next. there is no obvious career thretening injury to explain it all. but he has been very poor for 2 years now. this isnt a half season blip. two years is a long time. his fall is reminiscent of, say, veron moving to england. or schevchenko.
