Bamber
Went to watch a game of football watched the referee show so forgive me if JiT is about him As soon as you see a ref make a flourishing display of showing his first yellow it is usually a sign the guy just wants to be the centre of attention and so it was. from a ref who kept pretty much out of the game on Saturday to one who wanted to be THE man. Just constantly getting in the way of a game that had no flow and little entertainment becuase of it he loved every minute of it, us fans and the players just frustrated by it. It wasnt taht he was for one side or against the other its just he was out of his depth and would have been better of refereeing oh i dont know knitting. anyway from the few mins i can remember - Brown needs to realise he isnt tied to the 6 yard box he is allowed to come out of it, some decent stops though lokks ok but some weird half arsed crossed arms type of save at one point. Chalali didnt really get into the game it was so stop start and we were aimlessly punting balls by then. two runs at goal, one tripped over the ball, other sheperded out but won a corner from it so cant really say thats it then referee motm as he was determined no one else would get a look in. I pity the highland league having to put up with him all the time Link to comment
K-9
Superb for 20 mins, scored, slowed down and completely died in last half hour. The lack of fitness in the team again glaringly obvious and right across the midfield we completely died late on. Desperately hanging on at end again. But positives: The front pairing of Mackie and Magennis both making great runs into channels and easily best partnership so far this season. Arnason before injury looked very good. Pawlett running riot early on. Foster playing very well again. Link to comment
K-9
Didn't think the ref was great but in main hardly noticed him so bit surprised to be honest. Link to comment
sooth_stander
Thought Jack did well at RB and shored things up in central midfield later on. Chris Clark did nothing for the hour he was on. Took up good positions in the first half but unlike Pawlett on the other flank, never once took on the full back. The whole back four looked solid. Fyvie was fairly quiet, and we miss Arnie in the centre of midfield. Hope his injury ain't too serious. Good support up from Dundee, probably more than the the lesser succesful team from Dundee from the SPL would take up. Link to comment
ollie1903
Not much to say really. Most players were good until we let Dundee dictate play. Except Chris Clark. 1 fantastic cross in the first half aside, which Magennis should have absolutely buried, was completely anonymous. I've no real agenda with him, he's neither bad nor good. But he offered zero and is so clearly unfit It's embarrassing. Link to comment
tup
Did Brown stick you on for Clark ollie? In a nod to your superior level of fitness? Link to comment
sooth_stander
By the way, the 2nd "goal". What was it dissallowed for? I was in the main stand and couldn't see why it was chalked off? Assuming offside? Link to comment

Foster14
Did my JIT thoughts in the match thread. Doh! Forgot to mention the referee though. He did seem to like pulling up for freekicks for the most minor infringements or where it was six of one and half a dozen of the other, but seemed to let the more serious stuff go. Had an interesting decision to make for the Dundee forward. Although probably not deliberate, to attack a ball that the goalkeeper is easily collecting with a chest height karate kick is not the best idea, and could easily have seen red if Brown had made a bigger deal of it. Tommy
Hopefully Clark is nowhere near ibrox.A disgrace that Brown played him after his efforts on Saturday.I was underwhelmed when he was signed and to see a professional footballeras unfit as this was a joke.I thought Jack had a real good game, reads things well and it would be great if he coulddevelop a bit of pace. Site Sponsor Dom Sullivan Posted August 23, 2011 Site Sponsor Share Posted August 23, 2011 Clark was piss poor and glaringly unfit. Three attempts to cross the ball and hit the first defender each time. One decent cross for Magennis to head over. Not fit enough, so why play him? Apart from the goal, Mackie did nothing of note. What is it on defending corners where we have not one player in the centre circle? Encourages opposition to push players forward and when the ball breaks from our area, there is no-one to hold it up so back into our box it comes. Ridiculous. Happy to get through but we need to start "gelling" pretty soon if we are to progress Link to comment
stand_free
Up until just after the goal we were in complete control of the game, pressing high up the park and keeping the ball well in midfield. Second half that completely disappeared. Think we look a completely different team with and without Arnason. With him, the ball is kept on the deck a lot more as he's not constantly hoofing it to naebody and expecting it to be chased. If he's out for Ibrox I can't see us doing much going forward. Mind you Fyvie wasn't much better tonight either (and like him as player). Link to comment

No, Arnason to centreback in place of Mawene. Fyvie moved in to central midfield in Arnason's place. Clark right, Pawlett in for Milsom on the left and Mackie in for Vernon. Link to comment

tup
It was but more obvious tonight. And there was no extreme heat tonight either to blame!! Aye I'm black affronted at the carbon copy, minus the heat, of the shocking performance level of our players in once again securing victory at 60% fitness in comparison to the modern day Adonises wearing the hyper-fit colours of Caley and Dundee, what credit we could have taken from 2 wins in a row is soured by the clear early onset senile dementia which is taking a hold of the useless coffin dodger in our dugout who disna have the first clue when it comes to football given his tendency to adhere to our suppporters demands. Age has caught up with this clown Brown, he never knew what he was doing 20 years ago and he's only getting worse by the day, only thing I can do is urge him to accept that we have no defence to speak of, no width, no strikers, and a goalie who's here on a jolly whilst he builds a tidy pension for a rainy day spent largely chilling out in the foothills of Colombia, the odd kidnap and ransom demand in relation to the odd kidnapped foreign tourist notwithstanding. Were it not for Stoney outing you as a pre-Easter Road mudshake exponent, I was almost 100% convinced that K-9 was in fact the electronic outlet for Mr Misery Guts himself, Aberdeen 'fan' Scott Davie, a supporter who takes twisted delight in our general haplessness of recent times. K-9 attends every game. So does Davie Link to comment

Sorry min, I've got the wrong end of the stick, I thought you were the player manager of Aberdeen such is your expertise in predicting the big calls before they happen. OK, so if you eat that in 90 minutes, I dread to think the sheer volume you consume in a 24 hour day, christ on a bike, you're pishing on a forest fire with the Diet Coke min, that fools nobody.
