Scottish cup again this weekend

anyone heading to a game?

Broch v Elgin for me

Peterhead have the highland league leaders at home and they are having a nightmare season so far. could be an upset on the cards

Buckie could also cause an upset by playing the bottom side in the scottish league - East Stirling

Just out of interest, what sort of prices are the bookies offering on Peterhead and East Stirling being knocked out? Gambling sites are blocked at my work!

Alloa 2-2 Annan Athletic

Auchinleck T 8-1 Threave Rvrs

Boness Utd 2-1 Whitehill W

Clachnacuddin 1-1 Inverurie Locos

Culter 0-2 Spartans

Deveronvale 4-0 Berwick

Edinburgh City 0-1 Irvine Meadow

Fraserburgh 0-0 Elgin

Gala Fairydean 5-2 Golspie Sutherland

Huntly 0-3 Queen's Park

Montrose 2-1 Clyde

Peterhead 2-0 Nairn County

Vale Of Leithen 3-2 Cove Rangers

Wick Academy 0-1 Keith

Wigtown & Bladnoch 0-9 Stranraer

What a result for Deveronvale but a shocker for Cove.

I was at Culter and despite being down to 10 men for the majority of the match put in a decent performance against Spartans. Culter player sent off in the first half for what the ref deemed denying a goal scoring opportunity. Spartans scored from the resulting spot kick to go in one up at half time. Culter really had the better of it in the second half but were caught by Spartans as they pushed more men forward to look for an equaliser.

Tough tie for the Highland League champions but East Stirling should be taken care of. :trophy:

Spartans being investigated over allegations they fielded an illegible player against Culter. I believe the rules of the Scottish Cup now mean it would be a instant expulsion for Spartans with Culter being reinstated,

The club is aware that the SFA are investigating whether we fielded an ineligible player in our Scottish Cup game against Culter last week.

A club does this EVERY season.

Does this happen in any other country?

The magnitude of inept record keeping, and sheer stupidity must be higher in our lower leagues than anywhere else, alkies behind the scenes, knuckle draggers on the park and in the dug-out.

Aye Sion are a dab hand at it.

No, Sion deliberately fielded their so-called ineligible players after thoroughly checking the rules, and deciding they were on safe ground to do so.

They seem to have won that one.

This is the other end of the scale, total ineptitude, repeated year on year.
