Watched highlights of a game on Sunday and one team had their post TD extra point kick blocked and the other team recovered the ball and ran it the length of the field to the end zone.  Result two points not 6. So, like a safety scoring wise.

That must be quite a rare event ?

Being the kicker looks like quite a good gig. Not likely to get squashed by a human wrecking ball, training consists of practicing kicks, you get a Birds Eye view for the games and only have to do a couple of minutes work each week. Pay probably decent too.

Interesting, Ive never seen that scenario, it must be rare - ive seen defenders get a hand to the kick but never managed to get a hold of the ball.

Aye being a kicker looks a good deal, as you say.  Probably toward the lower end of the salary scale, but still very impressive and you do next to nothing.

I think Gavin Hastings kicked for the (defunct) Scottish Claymores for a couple of years after leaving Rugby Union,  (where he was also expected to run about and tackle people etc), surprised he didn't try to get into the NFL proper with his ability.

Best paid kicker in the NFL (Harrison Butker, Chiefs) had a base salary of $1,210,000 this year but with his signing bonus and other clauses stood to earn $3,388,797. Given that 7 of Kansas's 15 wins this year were by less than 7 points you could say he's worth the money. Just for comparison 43 Quarterbacks earned more then Butker did and there's only 32 teams.

Gunner would have negotiated a better deal imo.

Darren Mackie should have given it a go.
That Queen’s Park missed penalty technique was tailor made for Gridiron usa football.

Where they do they rank in terms of cheerleader interest?

Clearly qb and wr will get first dibs but the kicker must rank ahead of the fat monstrosity linebackers.

It's a big no no shagging a cheerleader, or more accurately cheerleaders shagging players usually results in being asked to leave.

Big upset today. Thought the Lions would have won that comfortably.

Ye of little faith!

Result is reminiscent of the 41-10 pasting Washington handed Detroit in the 1991-92 season equivalent game, though the Lions did a little better this time.  History repeating?

Exciting times!

Eagles for @minijc 💪

But yeah. Much agreed.

Going to watch on Fox to get fully immersed.

It's funny seeing how many people plan to not bother watching it, especially over the water, there's enough story in the match to keep a neutral interested I would say.

I'll obviously want Eagles to win and I think they can do it, defence have been superb and with Barkley you've always got a chance.

You're right min. If anyone can beat them, it's him.

Eagles would be worthy winners this year. Chiefs just always find a way though.
