MrESheep
Last time I can remember being really happy and proud was when we beat Celtic to set up the semi-final against Queen of the South. Coincidentally, the QOTS game was the one that jumped up and down on my passion and it's never been the same since - just a resigned depression and knowing we're not going to win anything for donkey's years. I try hard to remember the joy of Copenhagen - that moment of watching Jamie Smith's lob start to dip and thinking, "It's going in..." but it's like a distant memory that happened to someone else. I expect us to lose now. I expect to be depressed. And I usually am. Link to comment
King Street Loon
Last time I was truely happy with Aberdeen.I enjoyed Bayern and Copenhagen. Liked the good run of form at home against the huns. But last time I was truely happy that I can remember would be late 80's early 90's. Link to comment
SkyeDon
Probably beating Hibs to make Europe but I long for the feeling I had after beating Rangers in 2007 - absolute magic! :scarf: Link to comment
Bamber
Last night It wasnt just a result it was a good performance throughout we clicked their best player potentially overall motm if not close was their goalie - says it all really. best domestic game of footbal for a long time - waqs a falkirk game a few years back when we took them apart but last night Dunfermline just chased shadows Link to comment
E-P-K
The last few games that I was truly happy at / with would be Aberdeen 2 - 0 Dundee (in the cup final)Aberdeen 4 - 0 CopenhagenDnipro 1 - 1 AberdeenAberdeen 2 - 0 Rangers (2008 - qualified for Europe)Aberdeen 2- 1 Hibs (2009 - qualified for Europe) Each one meant something, each one was a "must win" which we came out and did the fans proud. When was the last time we won a game that "meant" something? 4 years ago tonight did a flying Mackie scored that goal. Link to comment
madjockmcferson
Something died inside me the day we lost to Bohemians. I think that was the realisation that there was no way back and we were indeed in for a long haul of mediocrity and despair. Before that point i thought we would inevitably rise again. I seemed to be the only one interested though. Tam Cowan was at the bar. The place didnt half go crazy when that goal went in. Literally, it didnt. Link to comment
OddJob
I just watched the Dnipro game at home and when they scored that equaliser i was shitting it for the remainder of the match, so much so that i couldn't even watch the final 5 minutes, had to go through to the kitchen. When that final whistle went the whole street must have heard me shouting with delight. Link to comment
