Milne's up to something alright...my guess would be holding AFC to ransom...the longer it takes to get an offer the cheaper the property becomes...well that's how it works in every other walk of life.

I hope this backfires spectacularly on him...but I doubt it....a cu*t to the last

Maybe the delay is yet more spin, AFC hoping companies may look at this and think its more of an open case than previously they thought? Either that or SMG have offered below the value of the land and we're up shit creek. Be interesting to see if AFC would accept any bid under the valued land of

Right- i'm close to the construction industry and the word is this site is a deid duck for housing - right now. Thats not to say someone wouoldn't buy it with a view to developing it further down the line.

I have an idea though - what doesn't someone buy it...........................and build a stadium on it?

Good shout JB, looks like nae bugger wants it

I ken a mannie at Barr that told me they had the construction deal tied up way back in August - which was hush hush at the time.

They have confidence in the build starting at the projected start date so clearly Milney is pretty sure abuot this "Grand Projet"

I can also confirm this, they were in talks with Barr for a long time, and the construction date was agreed when Jazzer suggests. Parents next door neighbor works at Barr and was working on the deal, but we were told to keep it hush hush. Says the plans are nice and we'll end up with one of the best grounds in Scotland, not a lego land effort like some others. He said the only issue was AFC getting the funding in place, but that was resolved. So presumably the sale of our stadium won't make a difference to our stadium costs.

SS, fatshaft-careful boys you'll ruin the fun for Harcus, VDA and the bloodhound gang

But seriously, you are spot on SS, the guy that told me is an ex colleague and even then that was him telling me difinitively at that poit that Barr had the contract. It had been rumoured before then-Barr are a reliable company for this as they've been around the block unlike some of the other dodgy outfits that tendered. They've also worked with Miller (who have just merged?) on several stadium projects.

Harcus jump in at any point like min

How is it resolved, even Milne has said the funding for the new stadium is not in place?

I think it's no secret that we must sell Pittodrie at market value, in order to fund Loriston. Even a decrease of

Has the club actually officially put the stadium on the market? I mean have they involved a realtor or any other kind of professional property company in the mix?

Or is it simply a case of Milne's door (always) being open should someone happen along with a spare 10 million quid or whatever?

I'm guessing it's the latter because that's how the club has always previously conducted itself under Milne.
