Not quite.. that was an OFC Nations Cup semi-final tie which means they're out of the running to reach the Confederations Cup (OFC will be represented by either Tahiti or New Caledonia in Brazil next year to face the likes of Uruguay, Spain, Japan and the Euro winners). They're still in the World Cup qualifiers though, through to the final round where they'll battle it out with those two sides and the Solomon Islands to reach the playoff against the fourth-placed CONCACAF side.

So there is, I assumed they were killing two birds with one stone with the OFC Championship. However given their overall performance in this tournament they won't be as confident of reaching the World Cup play offs as they might have been.

Tahiti have qualified for the Confederations Cup now. That should be interesting looking at the teams they'll be up against!
