Tyrant
Cracking thread! The "blue toon coon"! Racism is a tricky issue. Doing nothing about it isn't the right approach obviously but highlighting it at every step of the way is fuelling the fire. Just look at this whole banana thing that's been on the go for the last couple of weeks. But like I said I don't think ignoring it is right either. That being said I think it's ridiculous that Clarkson is under such pressure for this. On those grounds alone I don't see how anyone can brand him a racist. Someone mentioned that he knows exactly what he's doing and I agree with that. He's a clever guy in his own way. It took me a long time to stop disliking him. I sometimes quite enjoy the 3 top gear presenters' banter but at other times the obvious fakeness of it makes me cringe. I also never knew that "slope" was a racist term. Every day's a school day. And speaking of school days I remember saying that rhyme (or a similar version of it) when I was a kid. It would determine who was, and who was not "it". Although in those days we said "catch a tigger by the toe" and until this whole thing came to light last week I had no idea that "nigger" was the original word. Link to comment

BrianFaePerth
Top Gear is arguably more popular here than in the UK. Clarkson and co are treated like gods. If he is chucked out permanently, it wouldn't surprise me at all if some Noggie company made a Top Gear-ish program with them all and made fat stacks from it. If it's good enough for Trinny and Tranny who are permanently on the tv here with their Noggie program, then it's good enough for Clarkson Link to comment
tup
Bigot Ron is also welcome in Norway. Weird, racist cunts up that way. Link to comment

Top Gear is on all the time in Australia and they sell out arenas when they do their live shows in Australia. Top Gear is probably one of the biggest shows in the world, so it'll be interesting to see what the BBC do. Clarkson is so popular I think he knows he can just do and say what he likes. Would be a massive blow for the BBC if they have to get rid of him... not sure they could afford to sack him. Link to comment

That's the thing.. he makes the BBC so much money that they'd probably have to hike up the licence fee if they lose Clarksons revenue! Anyone else behaving like he does would have got the bullet long ago. Link to comment

The punditry during the football in Noggy land is laughable, they have 3 locals yapping away in Scandahoolie, then the token English retired player will say his pice in English. then back to Scandahoolie for 5 minutes until back for another few sentences in English by retired English player. Henry
I like Top Gear, I don't like Top Gear. Here's the real issue. What changed in Top Gear and/or Roberto's life in the past 3.5 years to change his mind on the BBC2 motoring programme? 5 Link to comment
