As thread title says how many points do you think we will get from the 8 games up to January 2nd at which point we will be on 22 games and have played everyone home and away.

Dunfermline away

Killie away

St Mirren home

St Johnstone away

Hibs home

Inverness away

Hearts home

United away

K9 asks the real question! This is more important than all the shite about Brown this and Brown that.

If we fail to get a decent return from these game then its time to ask him to move on, this is the time we have to judge i think.

I have a feeling about 13/14 points tbh. Wish I could say 15 or 16 or more.

Is that enough in my opinion. Hmmmmm, tough one. If they follow it by announcing the immediate departure of Mackie and Paton in January I'm willing to have a little more faith.

Dunfermline away - should be 3 points

Killie away - probably 1 point

St Mirren home - 3 points - if we can't beat them at home what a mess - then again I saw us at Paisley so anything is possible

St Johnstone away - depends on injuries - 1 point

Hibs home - again should be 3, 1 is more likely

Inverness away - love this to be 3, let's say 1

Hearts home - 3 points if good squad - real risk of none

United away - they are pish but then so are we - let's go with 3

I think we should get between 13 and 16. On current form and with our squad performing reasonably and not brilliantly or dreadfully. Is that good enough for AFC - no - given where we've come from - would still think a better balanced squad would do better

A grand total of 13 points.

I can but dream!

IF, and thats a big if we get Arnason back and have our strongest team. We are capable of going on a run against others in this league. Brown just needs to be a bit more adventurous and also needs to drop Fyvie, stop playing Mackie ever again and give Pawlett and Chalali(when not away)a run in the team.

Serious answer:-

Dunfermline away - Win

Killie away - Loss

St Mirren home - Win

St Johnstone away - Draw

Hibs home - Win (on current state, depends what impact the new manager has)

Inverness away - Win

Hearts home - Win

United away - Loss

13-16, depending on Hibs.

Not necessarily in the same order, but roughly the same points total.

the problem is the unforseeable - such as players getting sent off or us getting dreadful decisions against us.

Interesting that most replies coming in on the 13-16 value - I guess this means that if CB fails to achieve this his coat peg will be very shoogly. It also shows how far we've fallen as in my era of supporting the dons I can think of times where I'd have been gutted to have only got 18 and would have thought of 21 as a fair haul (presuming 3 points for a win - canna mind when it changed)

You mean in case we need any further indicators of how things have changed?

I know what you mean, but we are where we are.

Wow, I was in a good mood that day.

Can I change to 11/12?

I think for his job to be safe Brown will need about 14 and then a good move or 2 in the window - even if thats getting another one of the losers out of the club.

While we are more than capable of getting 5 wins from that, I think double figures is the minimum we need to get, otherwise there will be a serious question over whether Brown can turn the ship around.

I didn't expect top 6 this season, but I did expect signs of progress.

I've seen some, but it needs to turn a bit more tangible soon.

If we cannot get more than 12 points from these games we will remain deep in the relegation mire and in all seriousness questions will be asked of CB and plans should be drawn up to replace him as manager - whilst i think it is sensible to give him time to improve things - if we are where we were when he first arrived and with a squad that is as unbalanced as McGhees only in different ways then he will past his sell by date.

Agree, and that what it boils down to. If anything we are worse of now! Our saving grace is a few teams around us are of similar points.

So the game that most of us thought would be the easiest three points (if any could be classed as that) has turned into a lucky one point in the end.

we NEED some big results.

So many opportunities for maximum points coming up.

Has to start happening soon though.

Or we'll be detached at the bottom and Brown will be a goner.

16 03.12.2011 Kilmarnock away

Dunfermline away 3-3 1 point

Killie away 2-0 0 points

St Mirren home 2-2 1 point

St Johnstone away

Hibs home

Inverness away

Hearts home

United away

2 out of a possible 9 so far. I'm thinking no points vs St Johnstone, no points against Hibs. no points vs Caley, a point against the Jumbos, and no points against united.

I'd like to adjust my prediction down from 7 points out of 24 to 3 points out of 24.

I was being wildly optimistic saying 7, so I was probably on the happy juice at the time.

3 points.

That's not bad though.

Personally can see us really struggling. Saturdays game is so crucial for starters. Think Dunfermline, St Mirren and Inverness games could go either away but in away games just not confident of getting anything at all the way our away form is:

Dunfermline away 1 point

Killie away 0

St Mirren home 3

St Johnstone away 0

Hibs home 1

Inverness away 1

Hearts home 0

United away 0

Total 6 points

- but in reality could be anything from 3 to maybe 12 at a push

Fuck - i am one negative cunt and even i am 2 points down in my predictions already!!

Dunfermline v Aberdeen Must win & should win so 3 points

Kilmarnock v Aberdeen draw at best but will guess, lose

Aberdeen v St Mirren draw 1 point

St Johnstone v Aberdeen lose

Aberdeen v Hibernian Think Hibs will sneak it

Inverness CT v Aberdeen ICT are improving, so draw at best 1 point

Aberdeen v Hearts lose

5 points & that's even after the fantastic three to start us off next weekend

Well I got Dunfermline wrong, and got St Mirren and Killie right.

I am sticking with the rest though.

Same here.

2 down on my negative prediction already :suicide:

Need a shock win against St Johnstone to get back up to speed.

Canny believe a win against them can be classed as a SHOCK !
