Every time we come back to Aberdeen Union Street looks a little bit shittier than the previous visit.

 

Regenerating the city centre, and the whole of Union Street, wouldn't even be that difficult...

 

You have to guess that the people running Aberdeen are world class fuckwits, hence nothing ever getting fixed.

 

thats the frustrating part.

and its the same with AFC. whoever is in the pr/communications/marketing dept (if there is one) should be sacked.

all it requires is dynamism and lateral thinking. dont need woodys money, community involvment and effort is all thats required..

The council that knocked back Woods money are now saying they want it for this, and they're hoping scotrail will pay a similar amount for a new station.....hello! why would they pay £50 Million to move a station a couple hundred yards.

the story is fluff.

itll never happen. and not in an aberdeen council way. its just a made up story with scientifically zero basis.

 

as for the council, their ineptiutude makes me think its just easier being apathetic.

if governing bodies cannot do anything at all with UTG, considering all the money, connections, power and policing behind them, then this debating is pointless and futile.

nothing will change.

just accept it, its the way it is.

I agree with Bluto here, a fluff story to let people think they're doing something, nothing will happen, moving the station just seems bizarre, and expecting the rail people to pay for it!

Whole plan that read on friends of UTG site is just pie in the sky and would cost many 100s of millions.
