I haven't posted in a long while, but have rekindled my love for Aberdeen this season and have been to a few games this season for the first time in almost 4 years.

 

The last few days though has disappointed me.

It seems that the sheer volume of posts about Rangers has told a story about the way Aberdeen Football Club is these days - nobody really cares about the team we all support.

 

The only real interest to a vast majority on this site and others is hatred of Rangers. If these fans showed the same level of passion towards supporting Aberdeen as they do to hating Rangers then average crowds would be hugely increased, playing budget in turn would increase and the standard of play would improve.

 

These are admittedly interesting times for Scottish football, but I think the reaction shows just how far Aberdeen has dropped in interest to many. Apathy towards AFC seems to be increasing.

You may have a point but think its more to do with sheer frustration at the Huns getting away with this shit for year after year and AFC being a victim of their overachieving beyond their budgets. In a week or so it will be back to normal, back to the team we love in our own way.

Additionally, as I've said before, David Murray and the beginning of Rangers financial doping, was one of the major catalysts in the downfall of Aberdeen Football Club.

 

Had we won the titles that are rightfully ours, in 1990, 1991, 1993 & 1994 then I can assure you the recent history of Aberdeen football club wouldn't read quite so depressingly.

 

I honestly believe we were the major losers from David Murrays cheating. More so than Celtic - they were forced to pull their socks up and eventually began to compete again, after getting their house in order. However, Aberdeen are a small club and there is no way we could compete with David Murray spending all that money that Rangers didn't have.

Probably the biggest amount of drivel I have read on here for a while ( and that is saying something considering the Ab Madders output). In my opinion there hasnt been enough anti rangers stuff , especially from the club and other SPL clubs. Rangers have systematically cheated and the output of that is that they have effectively destroyed Scottish Football. It appears they may actually get away with it, which if occurs is the final nail in the SPL coffin.

We're cheating? well theres not many clubs that aren't then, have a look at Man United debts, Liverpool, or how about Barca and Real, are all the companies who have loans cheating in some way to?
