Sheeptastic
Just as the title says, curious to find out what people think of the two. Personally, I think Higdon would encourage even more hoof ball in a side like ours but has been on fire with his link up play and goals. As far as clinical strikers go, Vernon must have a better chance conversion percentage. Link to comment
Dynamo
Vernon. Higdon is a big lump. Wouldn't score as many for us as we don't create as many chances. Link to comment
Redstar
Vernon...if he was playing for Motherwell he'd have at least 20 under his belt by now...it's a miracle he's scored as many as he has with zero service. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Vernon. No question imo. Far better striker. Higdon has strength yes but Vernon has two good feet & more ability Link to comment
OddJob
Vernon is a really good striker and as has been said how he's managed to score so many goals with the lack of service is amazing. Seems like a really likeable guy and totally professional too Link to comment
Crossbow
Vernon - much underrated because his service is so poor. He scores goals with a good conversion rate - we don't have anyone else in our team who could come close and without him we would be seriously struggling. He's not without fault, he's slow but thank goodness we have him. Link to comment
Eastcoastdon
Vernon. All round play and awareness is top notch, like above replys no idea how he has managed so many so far with little help from the rest of the team. He must come in every week and think "here we go again, another week of drills with this lot of duds". I bet if asked, he would rather train on his own and play wallie Link to comment
360
I bet if asked, he would rather train on his own and play wallie Sounds like a good idea, he is less likely to pick up a hamstring injury like this. Link to comment
dj_bollocks
Vernon and that boy from Falkirk up front - then we could ditch half the numpties that Pa Broon signed in desperation... Link to comment
Stoney
Verno shame we cant give him better service. Maybes next season Link to comment
Sandafc
Vernon and that boy from Falkirk up front - then we could ditch half the numpties that Pa Broon signed in desperation... Not sure they are all pish as he only plays one up front anyway, think Levein is a more attack minded that him. Link to comment
ollie1903
Vernon, without doubt. He get's some completely unjust stick imo for dropping too deep at times, trying to create, well, anything. It's just not his game. But he does it for the team to his great credit. He's a good, old fashioned, penalty box finisher. Just a crying shame that we can't actually get the ball into the penalty box. Link to comment
MURRA
vernon. if we had a few more creative players in the team i reckon he could score 20 in a season. again IF... Link to comment
K-9
Would like both to be honest but for Dons right now most definitely Vernon. Looked sleaker, fitter and sharper this season aswell. Link to comment
Monster
I wouldnt have said there was a competition. Hands down Vernon. More appropriate would be Vernon or Daly.......... Link to comment
SkyeDon
Vernon, no question. He's a better footballer and scores goals too. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Vernon by some distance I'd think. Better striker - Higdon is more of a hold up type player, relies on strength more. Vernon just knows where/when to time runs and where to find the net - proper goalscoring instinct. Link to comment
ebbe
I wouldnt have said there was a competition. Hands down Vernon. More appropriate would be Vernon or Daly.......... daly? vernon is so far ahead of these 2 it's ridiculous. to be scoring as much as he does in a team as lacking in creativity is mental. the man feeds off scraps every week, in fact i'd describe him as an obese somalian in football terms relative to the real world. apart from hooper i'd say he's the best striker in the country. boboisared
I'm going to get absolutely slaughtered for this but the more and more I see Vernon play I think he'd thrive alongside a Lee Miller 'type' of player. Link to comment

I wouldn't slaughter you for that. To be blunt, Vernon would thrive alongside any half decent player, particularly of given the chance to create a partnership. Currently he is played next to a complete pudding (we have a selection of 3 or 4) or played without any partner at all. Link to comment

Lee Miller is a naughty name around this place though! Link to comment

Imo, he is better than ther other two. England cap is imminent. Link to comment
