slippers
Do you think Aberdeen is more or less investable in terms of sponsorship ext for new stadium with Rangers demise! With second place potencially up for grabs over the next few seasons is it worth investing a little extra in the playing staff? Not saying that 2nd is our goal as its the first loser but best of the rest would be a step in the right direction! Wondering if Rangers situation is bad news for our new stadium? Link to comment

Not with 7000 crowds. We'll be lucky to see it stay the same. And I hope not. I could see that being the excuse to vote in favour of a light punishment for Rangers for Milne. The alternative way to look at it would be they would look to use it to their advantage to completely change the voting structure and rights distribution in order to guarantee the mortgage payments. tommo1903
I cant wait for the attraction of 2nd place. Its the prestige that I have long dreamed of as an Aberdeen fan. Link to comment
slippers
Their is no doubt that this is the opportunity we have been waiting for to change the Scottish game! A 16 team league and a even distribution of money is what we need! We need to improve the product first and foremost then the Scottish game will be more investable! Link to comment

Stoney
Nobody in their right mind would invest money in any business that is loosing money every month. Even less likely a football club which is already 15 million in debt. (same could be said if that team was on 5 million in debt) Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
The 80s are over. Soz. Finishing 2nd would be a massive achievement for us. Tough question though. Will have to wait and see what comes of the hun situation... Link to comment

True_Don
No...football as a business is a crazy notion. Either someone who has a passion for the club puts some money in. Link to comment

Perhaps one day we'll have a more even playing field - the hun situation gives everyone hope - but for the moment we're struggling to drive into the top six. I'll save my dreams of anything beyond that until i see a product on the park that can win at home regularly. Link to comment
baconman
Great opportunity to change the SPL. I just hope the member clubs dont fuck it up but I get a horrible feeling they will. Doncaster couldnt give a flying fuck about our game as long as he keeps TV and sponsors happy. AFC also needs to change. They dont exactly go about promoting the club particularly well and rarely have incentives to attract more fans. It is run as though we are a service to them rather than the other way round. AFC suffer from the same problem as our city and that is people are quite content with mediocrity living in a goldfish bowl thinking everything here is ok and rosy when it quite clearly is not!! V for Vendetta
Certainly an opportunity for change but no one has the balls for changing it. IF there was someone with the balls and the money and they thought for one second about investing in Rangers all they have to do is take a look at Afc, Hearts or Dundee Utd to see there money would be better spent there now. Simple maths tells you this really. Link to comment
StandFree1982
We're the fucking Dandies....of course we are investable! The lyrics "Greatest team the world has ever seen" was written for us, no point beating around the bush about it. *insert flag waving smiley* Link to comment
Iraq_Red
Depends on AFC's stand regards to the Huns I know it would be down to the SPL Board if they decided to let any Rangers 'Newco' into the league should things pan out they we we all expect BUT I'd want AFC to make it clear to this board that they don't support the re-admittance. If AFC meekly rolls over and supports any re-admittance, then they may find they have even less of a fan base and then investment would be far more difficult to find or justify! Link to comment

Wondering if Rangers situation is bad news for our new stadium? Is it worth spending more money on 2nd place when its going to be a Europa league place. Only next season has champions league places but after that we are nowhere near getting that back as we are down to 18th in the co-efficient and then the following year we are 26th. Link to comment
