barassie_afc
Aye he looked good an outrageously bad challenge Link to comment
StandFree1982
Hope it's not too serious. He's only just getting back to his best after his last injury lay off. Link to comment
Geoff_Tipps
Great performance from Fyvie today him and Arnie bossed the midfield. I hope Lasley gets the book thrown at him as that is the sort of tackles that end careers, horrible challenge. Link to comment
Foster14
He was great today, involved everywhere! Following up an equally impressive performance against Celtic. Hope it is just a bad swell, and nothing too serious, though he did look in obvious discomfort coming off the pitch! Link to comment
Geoff_Tipps
I would say it is almost certainly a broken ankle or ligament damage. Be very surprised if we see Fyvie play for Aberdeen again. Link to comment

A replay from one of the angles did seem to show his foot moving in a way that would suggest that... Gutted for him if so, I know he sees his future away from Aberdeen a lot closer than many of us would have hoped, but he still gives his all every game and never disappears. And, from an additional perspective, if the injury is a bad one with a half year lay off, it would also mean no chance of seeing anything more than training compensation for him. Link to comment

Alternatively a half decent contract offer might be snapped up more willingly. Hope he's OK and it's not that bad. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Sounded awful on radio - if that makes sense. The hesitance in the words of Dodds and Thompson suggested they just knew it was a bad one. I really hope for that lad its NOT a busted ligament. However whether the plays for us again or goes on to play elsewhere, regardless, I wish the a guy full and speedy recovery. Link to comment
Crossbow
He's not been lucky and really doesn't need or deserve another career threatening injury. I hope it's better than it looked. Link to comment
a don in oz
He's not been lucky and really doesn't need or deserve another career threatening injury. I hope it's better than it looked. Unfortunately there's a wide range of shit that is still better than it looked but I agree.... getting such a vicious ankle snapper tackle as he's coming onto a bit of form finally is just shit. If Craig Brown hadn't come out with his post match comments you'd be hoping for a severe punishment for the bloke that did it. Wonder if Craig will recant what he says when he sees the footage. Geoff_Tipps
Craig Brown needs to remove his dick from Lasley arse, Lasley has always been a thug. Thats 3 sending offs this season alone. Link to comment
Coopy100
Craig Brown needs to remove his dick from Lasley arse, Lasley has always been a thug. Thats 3 sending offs this season alone.Which makes it a grand total of 3 then Link to comment
fifesheep
Did Lasley shoot Fyvie or something ?? It was a hard tackle that was a baw hair too late, unfortunate , but shit happens !! Hopefully it`s not too serious as Fyvie was looking a bit more interested as late. I`m the same as another poster , if it is a bad ane , give it a few weeks and offer him another contract again ( after getting the medical team to look at the injury for a wee while and shake their heads alot and give the occasional tut tut ;-) ) Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Haven't seen a replay yet so will reserve judgement - but Broon also knows we're back next week. He's probabkly trying to diffuse, no reason to set up a grudge match - we've a semi final to think about remember. Link to comment

fifered
i dont get people saying fyvie was having an outstanding game...he wasnt however was an awful challengeAs part of a midfield three that was utterly dominant over a team that has been spunked all over all season by the media I thought he was having an outstanding game. We were noticably worse after he went off, Motherwell dominated the midfield after that. I think Fyvie gets far to harsh a time on this website, he has been nowhere near as bad as folk have made out recently and deserves credit for today. He has been no better or worse than Arneson in recent games, another boy who wants to leave and not a word is said against him. Strange. Link to comment
fifered
incorrect hes a complete shitebag (ironic with what happened today) with ideas above his stationLove it when folk just pronounce that someone else's opinion is simply 'incorrect' then justify it with what is only their opinion. Not even gonna bother getting into an argument with you about it, got better things to do with my time and you generally just speak drivel anyway. You're incorrect by he way, cause I say so. The Oxford Don
Sorry, what's the fucking debate here? Fyvie was having his best performance in months against a midfield that have been rightly praised for being excellent all season. Fyvie was outstanding, that's the adjective I'm using and if anyone wants to disagree they can suck my bawsack. "Absolutely terrific" according to BBC commentator, and I agree. Hope he's back playing sooner rather than later. Link to comment
K-9
Last couplew of games Fyvie looked much better (which wasn't hard to be honest as half the season been plum). But having good game in middle today until shocking tackle. In fact since moving back into middle has been much better after being stuck on wing most games. Link to comment
The Oxford Don
Agreed K9, needs to be played through the middle. Big difference when he is played in his correct position. Link to comment
