super_al
Just goes to show how good Calderwood was at wheeling and dealing to find a few gems in his time st Aberdeen. Every manager makes bad signings but Calderwood was as good as they got in the SPL. Bring back Jimmy. Link to comment
fatshaft
Mulgrew has progressed his career and hugely improved his bank balance - cant see the problem personally. The problem is quite simple, he didn;t try his arse when at AFC, and was just mailing it in every week. Link to comment

super_al
go wash your mooth oot You can't argue that Jimmy was good at finding a few gems. Made some bad siging as well but overall his record is better than Brown and Mcgee who were meant to be better than him. I suppose you like sitting in the bottom half of the table? Link to comment

Pyramid
Fair play to them!!!Yes bring back Jimmy indeed. What a team he built / moulded. I watched a decade in the SPL the other week we had some great teams when you look at it. Link to comment

If its just signings then that's an even more stupid debate. Calderwood got one hell of a budget and wage structure to bring in the likes of Lovell, Nicholson, smith and miller. Link to comment

Frank Butcher
We haven't had a single 'great' team in the SPL. That's my point. I certainly cant be arsed checking but have we finished within 10 points of the league winners since the SPL started We had a good team, I struggle to recall anything great in the last few years Link to comment

ollie1903
A chequebook manager. Calderwood wouldn't spot a gem in a family oversized pack of midget and iced gems. He procured Nicholson, Severen et al on big money. Aluko, Walker were recommendations and were no more spotted by him than they were by me. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
Cant remember anyone on here thinking we were minted while jimmy was here?? Seem to remember hearts and united shelling out a lot more money than us! Don't let that get in the way of your made up jimmy stories though - bitter coonts have the team they deserve x Link to comment
Redstar
Sour fu*king grapes...the lack of ambition at AFC is not just outwardly blatant it is probably all to clear to any cu*t with half a brain as soon as they walk in the door Mulgrew can hardly be blamed when the club he supports offer him a better deal...he may be a bit of a cu*t but he's not a complete cu*t ...the boy Aluko on the the hand Link to comment
