urbanprotection
Was up visiting family and my nephew, who's 11, is football mad. Maybe not the greatest player but keen as. Seems he plays for the school P7 team but not a boys club. He reckons the local BC, name escapes me just now, is invitation only and he's not friends with the right people which doesn't sound right to me. Anyways, anyone got any contacts in the local youth association or suggestions and contact details re clubs. Nairn County only seem to have U15 and U17. SYFA site is down, surprise surprise, and the Northern SYFA website is pitiful. Thought ESSDA was bad! Link to comment

Especially in the school holidays, they run lots of courses from age 5 and up. Give them a buzz. Link to comment

We also have at least 3 other clubs in a 2 mile radius who have similar set ups. I would have thought that towns the size of nairn would be able to get at least 1 team for each age group, if the schools can get teams there must be some appetite. Not the biggest of leagues but introducing kids to coaching and pathways at an early age is really important. It's the only way Scottish football will progress I reckon. Link to comment
