Well, that's the end of the season now, so what happens next. Obviously there is a big clear out going to happen, and Fyvie will go, maybe Jack will take that route as well. Arnason will be off too, and I won't be that disappointed.

 

Brown has a season left on his contract so he will want to see it out in the forlorn hope of finishing in a blaze of glory. So therefore we seem to be destined for more of the same with the "defensive" emphasis, no penetration up front, and lack of any wide play. Just the same boring and predictable display every week.

 

It's the time of year for season tickets to be renewed. No doubt there will be further attrition there, and dwindling gate receipts. It's depressing, but difficult to see what can be done to give us some hope. Anyone got some brilliant, realistic ideas?

It says it all when a thread asking for positive suggestions and ideas brings out the JC worshippers. In many ways, his heritage is still casting a heavy cloud over the club. Forget him, he's gone, and just move on. The problem is, where to, and how.........

Yet another JIGer. Fuck me. Staying in the top 6, qualifying for europe, stuffing FC Copenhagen 4 nil at Todders, and playing Bayern Munich aside, did we actually win anything under Blunderwood? Well? DID WE?

We may have stayed in the top 6, had a decent Europa run and all that, but by christ he sure fucked our club about in doing so. From wasting club money on "players" like Dave Bus and Tommy Wright, to extending contracts of donkeys like Mackie and Zander, to having his own personal retinue of cronies, oh and his repeated fuckups in cup competitions, does not an Aberdeen Football Club legend make. We were starting to go backwards under him- had he stayed one more season, I think it would have been him that would have presided over the disaster that was MMG's first season in charge.
