sheepiekev
IF, and it wont happen, Brown was to go, I'd be more optimistic. But with this dinosaur in charge, and all of his one dimensional tactics, his "dont lose" mentality etc, then yes I agree with you.Dont trust him to alleviate the glaring deficencies in the squad....full back, wide players, striker. Stoneybloke
More of the same, as it always seems to be. No hope at all of Brown achieving anything. But wait a few days and the ones saying he has improved things will be back again. Mediocrity rules, OK. Link to comment

Surely to fuck the arseholes who think we are improving should have the decency to come on here on Monday and apologise to one and all. Then again, ( and we all know who we're talking about here) they never admit they're wrong and will deny everything.Bollocks to them, people with eyes and the ability to understand football know the truth. King Street Loon
The balance of the squad is as bad as it was last season.I think we've a better quality of player, but I don't think they're being coached properly. And I also reckon there are rumblings of discontent in the dressing room. Purely my opinion, but I know if I was in that dressing room and being asked to play in the way that we do, week in week out then I wouldn't be happy.I'm beginning to think that the game of football has progressed to such an extent that the methods employed by messers Brown & Knox are outdated and the players aren't responding to it.These are purely my thoughts, but there are good players in that squad, but the best isn't being got out of them. sheepiekev
Why are people who see things differently from others "arseholes"? There's nothing wrong with having hope and supporting your team accordingly. Anyway, I'm pretty much with KSL. Bang on the money with that post. OK....."arseholes" is perhaps a bit strong, bripod. Deluded would be more apt maybe. In my opinion, and that's all it is, that's exactly what they are if they think we are improving.I'd just like to know what they base this on exactly?Beaten by East Fife in one cup, beaten by a shite Hibs team in another, and in the bottom 6 again having scored the fewest goals of any other team in the SPL.If that's improvement, well Jesus wept, they are easily pleased. dj_bollocks
We got rid of Calderwood supposedly for the type of football we were playing (amongst other things) against Hearts and for the first half yesterday we were playing that negative, defensive style of football... Whether Broon gets another year or not, it really doesn't matter... Milne will be making the same mistakes in appointing his successor anyway... Time to start the "We want attacking football" chants... Very loud and for 90 minutes... I'm of the probable minority that wouldn't mind losing so much if we were having a go... (with better players obviously). Consider the excitement yesterday when we got the goal and were having a go... That's the Aberdeen I want to see... not the usual pish... Link to comment

The Boofon
I do think if Brown left tomorrow and the out of contract players left in the summer then his successor would have something to work with. The squad quality is generally OK, we just have absolutely nothing in a couple of key areas. It really wouldn't take much to make us significantly more effective as a team, however the current manager just seems to have a massive blind spot and no eye for a flair player at all. I agree. Some of our players would come onto a better game given half the chance to play the way they'd like to play and in their preferred position. We have good players. We have some shite players as well it must be said but it's playing negative football and stiffling play coupled with continually selecting mediocre players that's cost us. Mackie cost us that game yesterday. I'd smash his face in if I met him. Link to comment

Geoff_Tipps
The fact we go into next season without Langfield, Mackie, Foster and Mawene makes me think we are in a better position. Matters nothing if the newco get the go ahead though. Link to comment

Bobby Connor
We're two wingers shy of being a decent team. Wholesale sackings aren't needed IMO. Won't matter a toss if Newco Huns are in the SPL next season. Link to comment
boboisared
haha ah... you still think browns better than langfield? he just pulls the, erm, wool over a lot of folks eyes with his frankly embarassing "gestures with the fans" at the end of gamesI've been to 4 semi finals where Langfield was in the squad. He was in goal twice (CIS v Dundee Utd, CIS v Celtic) and he was directly at fault for 6 goals. Link to comment

King Street Loon
cracking post ksl.I have my moments. But in all seriousness. Anyone who's played football at any level knows how hard it is to self motivate when you know the manager is wrong and making mistakes on team selections and tactics.Players aren't daft (well some are) and they know the game of football. But to speak out in private against the manager regarding these issues can possibly see you out of the team and viewed as a disruptive influence. My gut tells me that this is happening. It's not based on fact, just my gut and what I've seen out on the pitch the last few months. The beginning of the season was about trying to get an unbalanced team to gel and settle in.They've settled in and I don't think alot of them like how it's progressing and the way games are approached.
