My concerns are with the governance of the game in Scotland - Not Aberdeen. A Newco voted back into the league without sanctions would mean the SPL and SFA had given Rangers a license to cheat - Something which I can never imagine happening for any other club. if this happened, I'd be done with Scottish football (and pretty much football as a whole).

It would be surreal to give up on Aberdeen but then follow another Scottish team if the above panned out. The SFL and Highland League all eventually point up to the same shit at the top.

Is that who Jimmy Calderwood manages?

He's at some amateur outfit.

Followed them for 5 years when in Holland, lived about 20 minutes from the stadium. Been through relegation and promotion with them so have a bit of an affinity with them. Never claimed to be an out and out supporter though, their clubber was a bit neddy timlike for my liking, all green and clovers.

Sorry if I have missed any other potential candidates.

How about no one?

For me its Afc or no football at all. I can't change to someone else won't work.

How about if a Newco ISN'T voted into the SPL, vetoed in other words.

Would non attendees be more willing to attend?

I'm sure more people would be willing to attend a fair and competitive league. That's a no brainer really. more competition = more fans

In terms of people jacking it in - well its not just the people who go regular packing it in that's the issue here - its the loss of their kids, families etc as potential future fans. The knock on effect is much bigger than a few people throwing the towel in - its future generations of fans for all non OF clubs.

It also not just a case of losing people who don't attend much at the moment (like myself) but the loss of these as "potentials" who in future might be able to attend more regularly.

Football is a bit of a lifelong commitment - its just that at some times of a fans life its easier to attend more than at others. I could be sweetie rustling old mannie with a ST in a few years.

Not if its all a charade and non OF fans money is merely scopped up as a means to further the prospects of the OF.

I could never stop being an Aberdeen Fan it's in my Blood and in my Heart

If you stop being a fan they win don't you see that :sherlock:

And if a newco hun gets straight into the SPL then not only do they get off scot free but they win while Scottish football loses.

So going by your idea that they win if people pack in going to see shitba played in the esspeehell its win win for them really and lose lose for the rest of us bar the tic.
