Has it occurred to anyone that perhaps what he is trying to say is that, other than the goals conceded, our goalkeeper has not had a save to make? That would certainly be true of at least 2 or 3 of the games listed above.

So what he should have said is, "During the match the goalkeeper had two or three important saves to make, but didn't."

That is deep.

It's a bit like the inevitable like two new like new signings comment we'll get from Broon when Osborne & Milsom are fit to play in pre season. You can hear the old duffer saying it already.

Mark it in your diary for the first days pre season press conference....

I'd laugh if it wasn't so feckin predictable

Aberdeen 1 Hibs 2 -

"We had the 3 best chances in the first half... We were two down and the goalkeeper hadn't made a save

Really? Ha ha. That settles it. The old goat is on the wind up. Nice one CB. You old wind up merchant, you.

also "mitigating circumstances" made a reappearance tonight.

How can he say our keeper hasnt had a save to make every single game? its scary.

Neither been for or against Brown since the start, but he has turned me fully into to against category now. Pathetic at times.

We had no chances in the first half. It took 38 minutes for the hibs keeper to touch ball with his hands and that was from an overhit punt that bounced through to him.

Tend to agree, although the second he starts blaming the fans then get some post its printed off and I'll meet you outside the Mainer ;)

Thinking about Saturday football next season now. Even with free tickets no desire to watch that for another season.

I think the Brown hatred from some (an increasing amount) is missing the point slightly. There are lots of things he has got wrong and can be blamed for, but he now seems to be turning in to a hate figure in some peoples eyes, as if he is the sole cause of the situation Aberdeen are in. However take a look at the win percentage of every manager we have had from Alex Miller to present :

1997 1998 Alex Miller 43 11 13 19 (25.58%)

1999 2002 Ebbe Skovdahl 159 54 37 68 (33.96%)

2002 2004 Steve Paterson 68 23 13 32 (33.82%)

2004 2009 Jimmy Calderwood 227 94 60 73 (41.41%)

2009 2010 Mark McGhee 62 17 13 32 (27.42%)

2010 - Present Craig Brown 69 23 19 27 (33.33%)

For the past 15 years every manager we have had has failed and been much the same , Skovdahl , Paterson and Brown occupy a very similar win ratio , with Mcghee and Miller in a shit league of their own.

The current situation is just the latest part of a long decline at AFC. Is Milne the problem? Probably.

I'm not saying we should keep Brown because of the above, what I am saying is our support arent the brightest, we just want a manager sacked every 2-3 years, giving ourselves the illusion that the new poor sod will be the one to turn it all around.

I totally agree with what you are saying... But I think Craig Browns mistakes have been far too obvious. They are verging on stupid. At least Steve Patterson tried to sign full backs... even if they were Jamie McQuilken. Brown has completely ignored certain positions and just signed an abundance of players who are all the same. :banghead:

So Broon has a worse record than a self-confessed Alcoholic Jakey who had to be driven from the stadium in the boot of a car as he was too embarrassed (pished) to face the press.

What was I thinking...keep him on a bit longer...maybe we'll see him driven from the stadium in the boot of a car ...an estate with glass sides... ;)

He has made those mistakes , odd though because when he replaced Mcghee he seemed to fill all the positions that needed filling. The point stands though, if Brown goes the next guy has a maximum of 18 months -2 years before everyone wants him out. The cycle will never end !

Honeymoon period will seriously help this with 8 wins in 13 at start of reign. Since then 15 wins in 56 games.

Talking just league in last 48 league matches just 11 wins is just about as bad as it gets.

Brown has a further year left on his contract. You want it to be extended?

Honeymoon period for all managers is true though . 3 wins in last 18 for calderwood looks bad on its own
