NorthernLights24
Watching the play off final second leg between these two sides. Dumbarton 3-1 up at half time, 5-2 on aggregate. Are you confident the Sons can make a better go of the First Division compared to their last effort at that level? Link to comment
Dandyjam
Decent strike force Dumbarton have, Dargo and Prunty, would've been a good partnership at SPL level a few years back. Link to comment
sheepiekev
Airdrie - couldn't have happened to a nicer team.Hopefully that Airdrie chairman cunt that was arsing around Belfast in a Rangers top when Linfield played Rangers the other week will have had a pleasant day. Link to comment
tup
They could maybe stretch to signing big Zander now after his release from English cracks Oldham. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Was away this weekend and only heard the result this morning... delighted! Will be great for the town, with the lack of competition between the Old Firm next season, hopefully the Sons can reclaim a few glory hunters! I remember when Dumbarton beat Dundee United 1-0 back in 1995, last time they were in Division One - at school on Monday morning everyone was a Sons supporter! Didn't last for long though... the Arabs went on to put 8 and 6 goals past them later in the year! Going to be really interesting to see how things develop next season. I'd expect them to go straight back down, but you never know! Victory at Capplielow would be enough for me! Link to comment
tup
The first Dons match I attended was against Dumbarton. We annihilated them Link to comment

I didn't realise that when they were relegated from the First they actually won the their opening two matches and then proceed to win only one of the remaining 34. The manager at the time had a fair record - Played: 46. Won: 2. Drawn: 5. Lost: 39. A win percentage of 4% Link to comment

Ah right, I take it all back, clearly there's a tactical mastermind behind the cunning havering imbecile disguise. Link to comment
Karl Fletcher
Best ride I ever had was from a girl fae Dumbarton. Absolutely sensational. Link to comment

Its always good to see youngsters choose to follow a team like Dumbarton instead of being Old Firm glory hunters (although you could argue some of the Dumbarton fans yesterday were probably doing a bit of glory hunting themselves!).
