Changes Afoot At Suit Level

Recommended Posts

I can't see in a month of Sundays that Duncan Fraser would be in charge of George Yule, should he be appointed.

Duncan has no previous experience at being a CEO and is just a fan like you and me. Started sooking up to Milne around about the time when ISG was applying pressure for boardroom change and was asked to help out during one AGM. Milne saw yet another opportunity to take someone and turn them to the dark side. Since then, not been impressed with Duncan one bit.

He's just Milne puppet and his vaulted position was more to do with delegating responsibility away from Him, especially stadium. Milne can now try and blame Duncan for the issues, even though they are all of his own making.

Young would bring drive and enthusiasm and no doubt some much needed business skills. But end results would be same in that nothing would change with Milne in control.

I did hear that Milne was looking to plan an exit and wonder if Young may be a perfect solution. Perhaps Young may have money men behind him, prepared to embrace his sort rather than Milne.

George Yule would be an absolutely terrible appointment.

I've never met the man, heard of the man, seen the man or contemplated his existence until I read this thread and heard his name mentioned for the very first time.

But I know he'd be an absolutely terrible appointment because Stewart Milne will be the guy making the appointment.

That's all I need to know to be assured of the absolute terribleness of an idea.

I was taking the opposite point of view - the board already appear that bloody useless that any change is bound to be an improvement.

But then, I'm a glass-half-full kind of guy.

Time for you to draw another cock and balls with a green crayon Kelt!

This thread is a perfect example of why folk should just keep stuff to themselves. Foster comes on with some news he's heard and just gets constant hassle/questioning when he'd basically said from the off that was all the info he was prepared to give.

It's like being in a school playground with a bunch of little bitches.

Well as far as I can see, this is all positive news.

If 4 (maybe 5) suits are stepping down (as in leaving completely) & are being replaced by one suit, then this is certainly a step in the right direction for me.

Will save the club a fortune.

Time will tell but I cannot see them as being much of a loss, especially if Willie Miller is one of the ones leaving.

Just hope they're not getting over inflated redundancy packages :crossfingers:

So who were the new ones then , how many fkn suits we got ?

A board of 10 per the 2011 financial statements.

Other than Miller, none of those leaving get remunerated (other than possibly expenses) so can't see there being redundancy packages involved. I'd not be surprised to see Miller keep a role in the club, just as an employee.

We'd have to keep him in some form cos I don't think we could afford to buy a new white board if he took his with him.

Fly fucker knows he's got us over a barrel.

Got to give him credit for that one :applause:

Two ways to look at this...

AFC are trimming the fat in preparation for voting no and the dip in revenue this will bring about...although since Miller is the only one drawing a wage not quite sure why the others have fu*ked off

or

These boys can't get their heads round Milne voting yes and have told him where to go
