Dicks wouldn't tell me! There was speculation that it might have been because I was just back from the states or because I was a female travelling on my own. I was gutted as I wanted to spend my 30th there. Soon changed flights though and went to South Africa instead which was immense.

 

Still hoping to get there someday.

 

That book isn't available on Ebooks. None of them by that author are.

 

If you're interested in politics, and in reading about politics, then there's a book you should read that will give you a grounding and a focal point from which you can expand your knowledge and understanding of tribalism and politics.

 

A subject like politics always runs the risk of being dry to the point of being unreadable, so it's important the author write in a style that engages... otherwise what you get is The Satanic Verses

Read the Satanic Verses once and it drove me demented. Ended up buying the Koran and an idiots guide to the Koran to try and make sense of it all.

Midnight's Children was a much easier read.
