Geoff_Tipps
Striker and Left sided defender? Striker yes, although looks like McGinn has been brought in to play up front I would say a central defender is more important than left back. Link to comment
Donmacca
Welcome Niall. A decent LB and a season ticket will be bought. Been a good summer so far for the dons, 2 good signings and what looks like the board actually listening and building bridges with the fans. Link to comment
Jazzer_Bett
Nice one Brooner, well identified and executed. Just the ticket. Link to comment

Been a good summer so far for the dons, 2 good signings and what looks like the board actually listening and building bridges with the fans. Agreed. Fuck the rest of Scottish Football and their seedy misdeeds. The Dons have done the business so far and with a couple of more decent signings we're well on the way. Link to comment

SkyeDon
Welcome to Pittodrie Niall. At last some creativity in the side, something that's been needed for years. A defender would be nice now, Brown! Link to comment

ollie1903
Good golly, another winger! Excellent. Welcome aboard! Heaven's above, Man alive. Two wingers! Link to comment
tup
Good stuff. Glad he wasn't effected by Tups disgusting racist abuse of the Irish! The Irish have thick skin so I'm glad he's not been affected. Link to comment
Karl Fletcher
Hope we play this guy on the Wing, not as an out and out Striker ffs. Link to comment
spamspamspam
The Irish have thick skin so I'm glad he's not been affected. Is that a by-product of pig shagging tup? Link to comment
tup
Is that a by-product of pig shagging tup? Possibly, remember these are the guys who fed pigs to pigs, thus starting swine flu, through the medium of Richmond sausages. Not that I'm holding this against McGinn or Hayes you understand. Link to comment
Jazzer_Bett
------------Brown Jack - Anderson - Considine - Robertson --------Hughes - Rae - Milsom McGinn-----------------------Hayes -------------------Vernon Nae bad? Think you are spot on with the formation there pal. 433 works when you have 3 sitters with balanced feet and young fast fullbacks overlapping. Tasty. Link to comment
Tord31
Great business by the Dons to get in McGinn and Hayes. Always been impressed by both of them when I have seen them. Lots of midfielders now so think hopefully ship Fyvie off to England for a few hundred k's soon-ish. I'd say signings wise it'd be pretty good to get a left back in before the season starts while also looking for a centre back and striker before the end of the transfer window. Link to comment

tup
Bob Harris has only ever played 5 games for Blackpool. He'd be an excellent signing at left-back. Link to comment
Henry
Bob Harris has only ever played 5 games for Blackpool. He'd be an excellent signing at left-back. I'd have concerns about his ability to combine playing at left-back with presenting his country show on Radio 2 though. Link to comment
buchanskii
A balanced 4-3-3, with decent wingers and a potential 20+ goals a season predator up front... We should have kept Mcardle to cover the inevitable Anderson Leg-Break, though. Link to comment
Tord31
With Anderson, Considine and Shaunessey for centre half would it be possible to have Osbourne as the 4th centre back allowing funds to be spent elsewhere? Kind of means we'd be up the shitter if Anderson and Consi were out at the same time for more than a game but potentially a risk worth taking? - Osbourne played two pre season friendlies at centre half last year but no competitive games there. Oklahoma 1903
potentially a risk worth taking? Brown doesn't do risks. Link to comment
HH_is_back
Just spoken to a Celtic fan who rates McGinn higher than McGeady and says Celtic were crazy to let him go! Fingers crossed that his opinion is spot on. I ken nothing about the lad. Link to comment
Chrisyboy81
If he's as good as these Celtic fans seem to think then perhaps we are aiming for 2nd. Maybe Milne actually does have a plan, what else would persuade McGinn and Hayes to sign? Link to comment

Fingers crossed that his opinion is spot on. I ken nothing about the lad. The guy is pulling your pisser or knows fuck all about football. Niall McGinn will be a good signing for you lot, very surprised he joined because of the favourable reports he got down south. He was behind Forrest, Commons and McCourt for a winger slot, that's how he very rarely started. Quick as hell and very direct, it'll be interesting to see how well he does if he gets a regular starting slot in the SPL. Link to comment
Tord31
Squad shaping up like this... GK - Brown, LangfieldRB - Jack, OsbourneCB - Anderson, Considine, ShaunesseyLB - Robertson, ConsidineRM - McGinn, Pawlett, Jack, FyvieCM - Rae, Hughes, Milsom, Osbourne, Jack, FyvieLM - Hayes, LowST - Vernon, Fallon, Magennis, Megginson, Patonyoungsters looking for spots - McManus, Smith, Fraser and Masson Have to look at that and think we could do with a defender next, and looking to get shot of Fyvie and Paton? fine-n-dandy
The good thing about both these signings is that they SHOULD keep Vernon away from the wide area where he's been wrongly shunted out to sometimes Good signing & hope he's utilised out wide rather than up front. Back up (but decent) centre half is probably the only other signing we'll make cos we probably have cover everywhere else really with the young guys & the likes of Osbourne etc. Would like a decent strike partner/competition for Vernon though also, even if it's an unproven/gamble on one of the rumoured links. Just waiting for the huns to be confined to bottom tier & season ticket will now be purchased.Although in all honesty, I'll likely still buy it if they sneak into 1st div also Link to comment
K-9
Don't know too much about the lad but certainly ticks the boxes. Welcome onboard Niall Link to comment

I've seen some people on twitter calling him the next cafu Squad player on peanuts. Will cover centre forward, wide right and left midfield, centre back and right back. Bizarrely pretty much all the positions apart from keeper. Pretty shite but still young so might improve. Link to comment
Coopy100
Squad looks good on paper. and looks like the right signings for the club at this time. Well done broon and AFC. Link to comment
