tup
Last week the SFL chief executive, David Longmuir, sent a proposal arguing strongly that clubs should allow Rangers into the First Division. He warned that if they did not, to avoid "financial collapse", the SPL would colonise the First Division itself, form an SPL2, and have the new Rangers in it. Well there you have it. That's what the 1st Division clubs received in terms of guidance by their administration. Absolute total, utter fucking disgrace. I suggest people target Longmuir every bit as much if not more than Doncaster since he appears to play the pivotal role from here on in. Link to comment
lazio_don
Another spineless twat and hun arselicker, my god our game is riddled to the core with them. Link to comment
Bobby Connor
Can't believe what we're witnessing here. It's complete madness and is solved very easily by simply applying the rules fairly. Link to comment
a don in oz
Some digging is going to reveal EBTs for Longmuir, Regan and Doncaster right? Link to comment
tup
What they're saying is that the game faces 'financial collapse'. What was the root cause of the debt most top flight clubs are faced with? That's right, overspending by Rangers. Now they're saying that, without the perpetrators in chief of this financial armageddon, we face 'financial collapse'. Therefore we must let them in as soon as possible. Otherwise we face 'financial collapse'. So we faced 'financial collapse' because of them, now we need them to save us from 'financial collapse'. Utterly bizarre. I'm at a loss to comprehend all this. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
The Scottish top flight (or lower leagues for that matter) never struggled or faced financial ruin when the huns were struggling during the times of Aberdeen's & Utd's dominance. They (the OF) have manipulated it all over the duration of the SPL so that everything revolves around them & that they are the sole clubs to gain from tv deals etc. & have such added little things that they both must be present etc. It's just corruption at it's best. bezmanstar
Fuckem down to division 3 and take our chances that the whole game collapses into disaster. Green (or red and white) shoots will grow from the wreckage and Aberdeens only ever going to be Aberdeen. This Sevco no history things a lot of crap as well. History is meaningless if your playing in a plastic league like hungry hippos scrabbling for enough points to be out of relegation danger and without the money or ability to be challenging for a top spot. In the SPL the prize is given out by Rupert Murdoch in August, barring a cup run, the rest of the years just a formality. If the league dies then all we needs 11 good players who want to play for the club and for their National Team;a bit of grass and 3 spare hours a week. That's what you build your club around, not how much someone is prepared to give you for the right to be on telly how many audis you can get for free or how much you can get for the land your clubs on. The SPL achieved what it was there to do, to get as much money for the old firm as possible as Ebbe said the operation was successful but the patient died. Link to comment
