Tv And Radio Coverage Of Scottish Football

Apparently Chick was back on in the last few days and was making a point about how Rangers deserve special treatment.

Then he said something about how if a restraunt is full and Rod Stewart walks in then they'll make an exception for him because of who he is.

Hmmm.

What about if Rod Stewart had not paid his bill on the last 5 visits?

They'd probably let him off with the bill anyway.

Some guys have all the luck.

You're a Rod Stewart fan.

The road from Fochabers to Inverness wisna so insurmountable that evening it would seem.

You support Rod Stewart more than you support Aberdeen.

If they carry on with their Rangers centric pish disguised as sports broadcasting (which would not happen for any other club in the 3rd division, ever) then it's time the nation took a stance and turned off their radios until such time as we get balanced reporters who will do their duty and ignore completely the irrelevant bottom tier.

Sportsound had Challenge Cup fitba on last season when there was nothing else going on.

Fair enough.

They can do the same again this year.

But we all know how it's going to pan out in reality.

Same wankers, covering the same wankers, coming away with the same pish, week in, week out.

As if nothing happened.

I don't believe they will bang on about dead Rangers or Sevco after about a month or so into the season. Of course the first couple of games will be high profile and it's a big old story so it makes sense. I don't have any issue with that.

After that I can see interest dipping with both the media and the Sevco fans in particular.

I can see us getting far more negative coverage than normal for two reasons.

1. The media hate us which is good for let them hate us as long as they fear us.

2. We'll be firing up the league and be getting great results left right and centre. :scarf: When we do go on a run like that (not often) the media always will us to stop our run and get fired into us more than normal.

No boofon, old habits die hard.

It's fairly clear our media have been utterly obsessed with two teams, to the detriment of all others, for many years.

They're not simply going to flip that on it's head and drop Rangers like a stone. They all support Rangers ffs.

Wait and see, there will be a huge spotlight on the 3rd division for the whole season.

Who?

It's cunts like you who keep calling Sevco "Rangers" that makes this the case.

More hun sympathy from you calling them "Rangers" Is that what this is? Shameful.

Unfortunately until it becomes clear that they are going to finish mid table goodies they will get as much attention as usual. That's if they accept responsibility for past misdemeanors and get a license

otherwise we are doomed for 1966 levels of nausea inducing drivel for years to come

They'll get far far more attention than they should.

Worse than that every single game covered by SKY or the BBC will hark on about how the league is missing something without Rangers and all that sort of shite. Every chance they get to mention the team that doesn't exist and they will slip it in. Celtic will never get so much as a comment passed on them without it being preceded by some qualifying statement about how its different without Rangers to challenge them,

And so on for the whole season.

They will not relent.

My suggestion is simple.

Now that all Scottish fans have found their voice I say we do not relent either. I say we hound these ignorant Sevco fans out the media and back into the stands or under the rock where they belong.

Anybody notice that the 2 SPL games that were scheduled to be shown by Sky on the 5th August are no longer on their live football schedule list??

You: Hi. Are you able to confirm whether or not the Scottish Premier League will be shown live on Sky Sports this season? It appears to have been removed from your live tv schedules.

Priya: Can you please tell me when will the Scottish premier league will be Tele casted with time and date?

Priya: So that I can check that for you?

You: The season starts on Saturday 4 August - I would have expected a live game on that date or on Sunday 5 August.

Priya: I am sorry to inform you that it is not Telecasted on sky TV sports channel, It has been removed from the live TV schedules.

You: I know that it has been removed. Does this mean that Sky Sports will no longer provide live coverage of the Scottish Premier League?

Priya: Yes, you are right.

I'm going to guess she doesn't realise its a season long thing, so when she agrees that Sky will no longer be providing live coverage of the SPL she doesn't really mean it, but the opening week of the season has been removed from the schedule.....
