Ever since the goings-ons last year, the authorities in Oslo have been edgy, and rightly so.

 

So today, they get an emergency call fae the US Embassy (in the centre of Oslo, right next to the Palace) saying they've found a suspicious package attached to the underside of a car that was entering their compound.

 

Cue armed police, big roadblocks and "won't someone please think of the children" type hysteria.

 

Bomb disposal fowk come in and find it's a fake bomb.

 

At around the same time the Yanks suddenly realise they've used this car in one of their security tests, in which they attached a fake bomb to it.

 

Oh and shucks, we forgot to remove it afterwards

Mind you if they had set if off by accident it would have been no skin off my nose.

I know we shouldn't generalise and the yin and yang is that some of the best inventors and the most creative minds were and are American.

 

As a population though, terrible human beings. On a par with Fife and Glasgow.
