fatshaft
...should have said, the cost of Trumpton is comparable with other courses of its ilk, and way behind posh knob courses like Wentworth. Link to comment
The Boofon
Has Trump not been a bit ambitious here and tried to run before he can walk? Surely if you've never built a golf course before you'd have a practice first. Perhaps if he'd built a 9 hole course like they did at Hazlehead it would have been a better idea. By all accounts the Hazlehead 18 hole course is a very good one and the 9 hole course isn't so good. They built the 9 hole first and sorted out their mistakes.Trump should have done the same. He'd also get more folk playing his course if it was a 9 hole one as you'd get twice as many folk playing. Huge mistake in my opinion. Link to comment
360
With the type of people that golf attracts, Trump may as well built a giant gay club with "the best bath house in the world" next door, and there wouldn't be much difference in the clientel. 1 Link to comment

It appears my golf course knowledge matches my Colombian football player knowledge. Have any of those other courses got wind turbines next to them? Link to comment

And if you build a nine hole course you get half as many playing, not twice as many. ..just so ye ken better in future like Link to comment

Or did that cunt tell me a lie at Murphy's bar Schiphol yesterday ?I think like Castle Stuart & kingsbarns, not being a members club, and relying solely on green fees, it's just more economic to shut in the winter, than stay open and keep a skeleton staff on. You're not charging premium prices for Scotland in December. That said, it does need working on, but then that would have happened anyway. Link to comment

Old Wing Stand
Looking good for the wind farm http://news.stv.tv/north/202283-msps-dismiss-donald-trumps-wind-farm-evidence-as-anecdotal/ 1 Link to comment
The Boofon
The thing with this whole wind farm. 5 years ago it would never have been thought about, no one would even think about putting one in the exact same spot that Donald Trump is building a golf course... Not a soul. Donald Trump gets the go-ahead, rightly or wrongly for a golf course to be built - golf course is built. 'Oh we want a wind farm in the exact same spot as Donald Trump is building his golf course'. That's what sours my piss with the whole thing. Aberdeen is full of these idiots, and not just when it comes to a golf course - the city is the most backward place ever, and that's with or without the golf course. Proof of this information comes from? Link to comment
The Boofon
Living in Aberdeen long enough to know how the peoples minds up here work. So no proof at all. 1 Link to comment
Old Wing Stand
Don't think the wind farm is there to piss off Trump probably as it is handy for Aberdeen Harbour,Can't see why it effects a golf course a few miles from it. Link to comment
Old Wing Stand
So you lot have belief that even without this golf course that it would have went ahead? Haha. That's laughable. I don't give a fuck about Trump, by the sounds of things he's gone about his business all wrong, and I think he's a cunt - but to think that this 'wind farm' was even thought of 5 years ago is amusing. Nae chunce, fail to believe it. Doesn't matter when the wind farm was thought about new things get thought about all the time, and it's hardly in the exact spot as Trumps course, does he want an exclusion zone round it ? I don't know where it's going, I don't pay enough attention to Donald Trump to really give a fuck about the man in all honesty. I hear golf course, wind farm, Donald Trump - so presumed it was pretty much on his golf course, Weird people live among us! You're telling me. An offshore wind farm built on a golf course. Mental. How do the planners come up with these ideas? 1 1 Link to comment

muttondressedaslamb
I don't know a lot about the wind farm but I think it would be happening with or without the golf course. You don't have a project like that just to piss off the local megalomaniac Link to comment
Ke1t
Frankly I'd sooner live next to a wind farm than a golf course. Wretched fucking 'sport'. 3 Link to comment
daytripping
I agree with Roberto here, this windfarm would have had the usual anti progress people up in arms and the protesting would have been on a huge scale, the reason they're all being quiet about these ugly things spoiling our coastline is because it will piss off Mr Trump! The people who planned this knew exactly what they were doing, this spot has been chosen because it will draw the least amount of protest from the leftist twats who feck up everything else for the good people of the city. 1 Link to comment
