bonzodaddy73
Watching a documentary on BBC4 right now about curiosity. The bloke says that it is bigger and five times heavier than any other rover that has been sent to Mars. Then the next shot you seen was of the lunar rovers from the 70s. They look friggin huge. I then started to think, how the hell did they get these things on the moon. The lunar lander only appears to have room for the astronauts. Was a separate vehicle used to get it there? muttondressedaslamb
Mars might be the colour it is due to having the same chemical found at the bottom of Benachie. Apparently. Link to comment

Believe it or not, the Rover was stored (folded up) on the LEM and was unpacked, unfolded and driven away from it. Each of them was ultimately left on the Moon after take-off. bonzodaddy73
How the hell did they make it fit?I take it the landers must have got slightly bigger with each mission. Link to comment
Ke1t
This animation details the absolute genius that went into getting Curiosity safely down on the surface of Mars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZYnIsLNz3c Link to comment
