Fucks Sake Craig Brown

Recommended Posts

Hopeless old man who brought hun filth in the shape of Knox back to the club...which alone should have been a sackable offence...went on to sign has-been hun filth in the shape of Hughes and Rae...which some on here think are decent...do me a fu%king favour.

Today you could easily have some valid arguments to back up why Brown is not up to the task and you churn out the tired and idiotic statements.

Fucks sake min, fucks sake.

Settle down fellas, Today was not a disaster, we got a draw and were the better team.

It was a disaster.

All four of us were optimistic about the game beforehand (one was a young loon's first game and the other three of us haven't been for a few years).

We all left utterly deflated about the performance.

Yesterday was the perfect opportunity for the management and players to get a real buzz of excitement and feel good factor about the team and city and they point blank fucked that up.

Doutbful any of us will be back any time soon, it just is not worth the cash you pay to watch the product on the park.

I expect there will be many more in the same boat.

Back on topic now, the majority of the blame IMO lies with the manager who is coming up woefully short.

Now is the time to build and really have a go at this league, which could really shape things for the future.

Brown is very much the wrong person to be in charge at the moment, we need a young adventurous manager to use what Brown has developed (which is a reasonable defensive unit) and grab this opportunity by getting a team that attacks well.

Under Brown and Knox we aren't going to get that flair irrespective of the players that are available to them.

Totally agree with that.

I was all for Derek Adams as new manager....then he goes and signs Ross fucking Tokely, the worst footballer ever to grace the SPL.

I'm hoping that was a one-off blip!

But we do need a new manager with new ideas.

Someone who is far more attack minded.

We had a big crowd in yesterday....the perfect chance to maybe attract and convince folk to come back regularly.

At 2.55 our manager should've been telling the players to go out and start aggressively from minute one, not let Ross County settle, attack them from the start.

Instead for the first 20 minutes, we barely threatened them and they were our equal.

As long as Craig Brown is in charge, we can expect more of the same.....stay solid and try and nick the odd goal.

Which is simply not good enough.

it was though

were already off the pace

if we want to challenge, we cant drop points at home to ross county

dundee utd certainly wont

Nailed. Nutshell. Hammer-nail-head etc etc.

We really need to start winning these types of games, Broon sadly doesn't look confident enough in the team to let them off the leash to attack teams.

Pretty sure smw of the donkeys we've signed would be up there for worst ever SPL player, never mind Tokely.

I want Milsom back in next week. I'd probably drop Rae.

Milsom is no superstar, he had a bad slump before his injury last season and his passing was atrocious. I like Rae, he is a battler and gets fully involved in a game. He should stay in the team.

It was the second game of the season FFS. Settle!!!!!

Oh and I thought we began to unlock the RossCounty defence when Ryan and Josh came on. Milsom does need to play and we need the nippy guys on. Midfield did seem a wee but trudgy for a big part of the game but hopefully the required changes will be noticed. Defence looks pretty good though and Russel was solid as ever.

I hope we see a more spritely team.

Never any need to boo yesterday and point was the negativity started within about five minutes of KO FFS.

Bams!!!

Passing atrocius? I don't recall those performances by Milsom. If anything, he struggled at the start of last season being shunted out to left midfield but by the time he was getting injured he had settled in to the position and had started being a good left midfielder providing plenty chances for our forwards.

I'd have him in central midfield before anyone else, except, perhaps Jack.

We had a 4-4-2 yesterday though. McGinn was central pretty much the entire game.

It seems to me that Brown has gone and got some out and out wingers but has gone out of his way to fit him in to his usual narrow system. There were various times yesterday when Hayes was popping up in central midfield!

When you get past a certain age, you tend to get very set in your ways and very resistant to change. It's a well known fact.

it was there for broon to grasp it with both hands, i hope vernon can handle the pressure, he simply has to score everytime because we're not going to create a lot for him. he is old and stuck in the past when football was the only option on a saturday afternoon for fans to go and do something, there's a lot more fun things to do now unfortunately.

we should've won that, i have a feeling that broon is now too old and stuck in his ways and maybe feels he has too much to lose. if he fears that we might get beat by ross county then we're fucked. i'm sorry broon, but you're too old and scared.

i said to my mate that someone at the club needs to get gavin rae's eyes checked because he seems to forget hes playing in red. all these years playing for dundee, then hunco, then cardiff....his brain is now predisposed to pass to blue shirts.

id be intrigued for someone to take a swatch from b&q and just ask him to pick out which colour is red.

i was astounded when jack came off and not him.

there was no need whatsoever to play him and hughes yesterday. we needed milsoms creativity to open things up. a holding midfielder (that couldnt hold midfield) in that game was completely redundant.

this must be the end of broon's career, he's old as fuck. now, if i was him i'd be thinking, this is it, a big chance to win something, but it's like he's protecting his cv from blemishes and i don't know the fuck why. i can see this being our biggest few years coming up for donkeys and i fear it will slip through his fingers, like clangers, and achieve nothing.

It is worrying that the next 3 seasons provides opportunity to win cups and get into the Champions League.

At home to Ross County, you got to win and send the team out to attack.

He could have sat Rae in front of the back four and let McGinn, Hayes, Vernon, Milsom/Hughes stay up the park...after 60 mins having seen County sitting back..a change could have been made. That's what he fails to do. He is still stuck in the underdog Scotland mind set of setting up teams not to lose and nick a goal.

Browns interview stated he was happy with the number of chances made and if that happens in everygame we will win games...against County we should have been all over them.

After 2 games you'd think it would be too early to predict the season, but given last seasons performance we'll scrape top 6.

Two games in and just think, what if Langfield hadn't dropped the clanger and Vernon had scored yesterday.

But they didn't and here we are, back in the pissed-off, totally frustrated climate of last seasons disappointments. And worryingly, no great signs of anything changing. Same old what bad luck we had post match interviews from Brown. I had hope that signing some forwards would change the balance of the team somewhat, but there is still no dynamism or creativity. We are so predictable that it doesn't take much for visiting teams to work out what to do to stifle our attempts fairly easily.

Things need to change, and quickly, before we settle into our usual bottom six position, looking up at teams like St. Johnstone and St. Mirren yet again.

And as this is Brown's last season, the search for a new manager has to start now.

"the search for a new manager has to start now"

....they needn't look too far - he was 6 feet away from Brown on Saturday.
