Dunfermline -V- Aberdeen

Recommended Posts

How long is Naysmith out for now?

Anyway, not looking forward to this much.

Traffic Cone

Osbourne Anderson Reynolds Considine

Hayes Rae Jack Fraser

Magennis McGinn

Same team as you, but I see it more as a 4-2-3-1, where McGinn, Hayes and Fraser can interchange a bit (or at least Hayes and McGinn).

Nae certain who I'd have in midfield out of Jack and Osbourne. If Dunfermline were to be out numbering us in central midfield, I'd probably go with Osbourne before Jack.

I'll be shocked if that is actually the team though. Think if Osbourne comes back in, it will be in place of Jack and can't see him ever going with a front 4 to start off a game ever.

Have a bad feeling about this one, I'd be a bit more confident if it was at home as Dunfermline have had a decent start to the season.

Don't think Josh deserves to be dropped so would like us to line up:

Clangers

Josher--Anderson--Reynolds--Robertson

Hayes--Ozzie--Jack--Fraser

McGinn--Smith

However we are likely to play McGinn up front on his own and have at least one of Rae and Hughes in the middle instead of Osbourne/Jack.

We better fucking win.

dinna think Rae deserves to be dropped. Hughes and Vernon do though.

On the basis of what?

We scraped through away to Morton and haven't improved since.

I think it's a difficult tie.

I have no doubt its a difficult tie.

Up until the Motherwell game we had played well and created chances without scoring in most games IMO. If we create chances against Dunfermline , with Mcginn in the team in place of Vernon I think we will click.

This is just an opinion and we will soon know if I'm right or not. I just find it ironic that many posters who are constantly charging Brown with negativity are so negative themselves that they are running scared of Dunfermline!

In terms of scraping through against Morton , why is that a negative? A lot of SPL teams went out to lower division sides that night. We didnt.

I'm afraid with Brown in charge, our team will always be running scared.

He's a negative manager, always has been, always will be. It's his attitude and the way he makes the team play that makes the fans negative.

The frustrating thing is, with the right man in charge, we would be looking forward with a reasonable amount of confidence to the game, and be at the top end of the table.

We have improved massively from the team that finished last season IMO. You are a miserable prick, I suppose you think we have regressed this season? Bloody weegies havent a clue

I think the quality of player in the squad has improved, your hyperbolic use of the word massive is perhaps making me unfairly criticise you, what hasnt improved are the results.

It's all subjective isnt it. A "massive" improvement means different things to different people.

I agree the quality of players in the squad has improved and we have a much stronger squad now than when Brown first came in. The results havent been as good as they should been, however look how tight the SPL is this season so far, no team have won as many as they maybe "should" have.

Motherwell are getting a lot of praise and looked good at times yesterday, however they are only 5 points ahead of us.

My view is Brown isnt gettting the best out of this team via his barmy tactics and selections, that said, maybe we did get a couple of wins together it might light the touchpaper so to say

This. Any away game us a worry now as away league record has been shocking. Just four wins away in league since start of last season and lack of goals scoring just 17 in 22 makes this game a huge worry. Also failed to beat rock Dunfermline there twice last season conceding six in 2 games.

Play to full potential and we will stroll past Dunfermline but just doesn't seem to happen too often nowadays. At least we can't play for a draw in league cup.

or you could say with the new signings on board we have a better record away so far this season.

Why the fuck does last season matter? Surely you agree we are a better side than when we last played them? (you probably dont actually).

5 points ahead of us....that's two wins.....we haven't managed two league wins this season yet, and haven't won at home this season!

Motherwell were better than us on Sunday, and that's with us having shown improvement apparently.

I'm resigned to us being where we are as long as the dinosaur is in charge.

Haha. Ok then just this season - 1 win in 8 games over 90 mins this season.

But as said previously but conveniently ignored as usual if we play to full potential we will stroll the game.
