Thought he might have a chance of being named in the full squad after missing out selection for the U21s. All the players named in the latest U21 squad are 20 years or younger apparently... including Islam Feruz who is 17! Link to comment

ollie1903
Well Craig Levein picked that team before he was relieved of his duties, that's for sure.Of that there is no doubt. Link to comment

Will be interesting to hear who is responsible. Ricky Sbragias name is listed as coach for the U21 squad... so where does Stark fit in? Link to comment

sheepiekev
International friendlies are a complete and utter waste of time.Testimonial pace, fuck knows how many substitutions. They'd be better getting together and having a few days training together, working on organisation etc.Think they might've done that under Walter Smith a couple of times as he thought friendlies were pointless. He was right. Until a new manager is in place, this game is even more pointless. Link to comment

I would have loved to have seen Fraser unleashed against a team like Luxembourg. They wouldn't be able to handle him and it would've done wonders for the lads confidence. Folk will say he's too young and hasn't had enough experience, but he's been arguably the best Scottish player in the SPL this season. If he's good enough and playing brilliantly then throw him in there. We should be picking all our best players, regardless of circumstance - we aren't good enough to leave an obvious talent out of the squad. Link to comment

These friendlies are needed for international side to play their systems/formations together. this one at this time can be classed as pointless as it does nothing for us right now due to not having a permanent manager. at the time it was organised it would have had a purpose. Agree....why the hell ask Kenny Miller to have a 20 hour round trip flight from Canada to play against Luxembourg?! He probably won't even start!I'm surprised he hasn't chucked playing for Scotland to be honest after getting about 10 minutes in the last 2 games....thought the toys would be out the pram by now. Stark gets a day to pick a squad so he more than likely picked whatever Levein decided on before he was gone. Link to comment

And if Fraser played for the tims he'd have been a nap to be selected. His selection would have been a reward for his performances and evidencethat age shouldn't matter. Link to comment

I couldn't see Miller ever doing that. He's maybe Darren Mackie with a bigger bank balance and better tan but his attitude could never be called in to question when it comes to playing for Scotland. doesn;t justify the call ups though. I've wanted him out for four or five years now Link to comment

Playing a game at a testimonial pace against Luxembourg in front of 10 people, and making 10 substitutions is totally pointless. There are various international weekends. At least 3-4 friendlies a year? This is one that they could definitely have a training get together for instead of a game. No competitive game until March - there is a friendly week in February, play a game then. Link to comment
