We're Going To Win The League

Recommended Posts

There is no need to add an s onto Langfield, Clark and Magennis. We have one of each. We don't have Langfields or Clarks.

The pricks on Sky Sports do it all the time when they speak about players and teams. ANdy Townshend is another prick who does it all the time and mentions the Gerrards, Rooneys and Lampards of the English game. It's using English language in a horrible way and needs stamped out.

That's it basically.

It annoys the fuck out of me. Almost as much as the improper use of the word literally.

Charlie Adams has a cracking left peg on him.

Rory Fallon believes Aberdeen can push Celtic for title

Rory Fallon believes Aberdeen are genuine Scottish Premier League title contenders. And the New Zealand international reckons the Dons are better equipped than Hibs to push Celtic all the way.

"Some people are happy for Celtic to run off and win it, but I'm one of those guys that believe we can win it," said Fallon. "If we don't believe we can do well and push up higher, then what's the point of even playing?"

The third-placed Dons could replace the Hibees in second spot in the SPL if they win at Easter Road on Saturday, keeping the pressure on Neil Lennon's men at the summit.

"If people believe Celtic are going to go and win it, then they're going to win it," said Fallon, who netted a fantastic goal against Hibs in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup earlier this year. "That's not how I work. I work through belief and having faith. "Even when the chips are down I believe we can still do it. "Whenever I go and play a game, whether it's a training game or a proper game, I always believe I can win - that's how I'm wired."

Fallon joined Aberdeen in September 2011 and has scored seven goals during his spell at Pittodrie. Ahead of Saturday's clash, he is adamant Aberdeen have more quality than their opponents.

"They're doing well but when they came here [to Pittodrie], I thought they struggled and I feel that we're a better team than Hibs," said Fallon. "Whether we play them away or at home, I feel that overall we can beat them. But obviously we'll have to prove that tomorrow. "I feel that the strikers are dragging their team along. Griffiths - he's the one that, if we stop him, then they won't score, because he's the one that's getting all the goals."

Ex-Plymouth and Swindon forward Fallon's contract expires in the summer and is eager to get back playing following a persistent stomach injury he's had since the 2010 World Cup. After two years of not getting to the root of the problem, a specialist diagnosed it as nerve damage in his abdominal muscles and was able to bring about a remedy.

"It's just nice to train without any pain," said Fallon. "No-one knew what it was, so it was a bit of a phantom-type thing. "I'm just glad to get rid of it and I thank God every day that I can train without any hindrance - every day I can get stronger."

One game at a fucking time. Let's nae worry about any other fucker.

Within 6-8 points by end of January, then let's think about buying a couple of players that will consolidate points. 'keeper, midfielder, couple of loan cunts that are up for the challenge.

Never mind this end of season shit - it's too late by April - let's be positive late January. Big win against Caley and we're laughing.

Not meaning to sound negative but repeating the the results, or points tally from first round of fixtures (18) will not be near enough to be challenging for the title.

I'd say after 22 games we need to be up around 45 - 50 points to be in a good position to still be challenging.

25 from first round would have us (if the tims win game in hand) still above them & I think it will take around the same to keep at them.

45-50 points after two rounds of games is a very reasonable target & certainly what we should (I hope) be aiming for & with the likes of Yule there to get belief back in the club, there's no reason why the players & manager cannot believe & get motivated for it too :crossfingers:

Tried to find the old thread for the approach to the end of the first set of games. This seems close enough.

We're on 14 at the moment with 9 left to play for.

23 points after 11 games would be a fantastic start.

Ross County, Hibs and The Jute left to play. I'd settle for 7 out of that.

21 points. 3 better than last year.

Was looking for four points from st mirren

n county so really looking for the three points on Sat. Not looking further than that at moment - international break good time to take stock of season to date - which we have to admit is reasonable regardless of result on Saturday
