The Boofon
Link First Pope to step down in 600 years. Not religious at all, but interesting news anyway. What happens to the people who have picked the pope in their death pool? Do they keep this one or default to the new one? Perhaps they get both old and new popes. Link to comment

The Boofon
Very true. Good with kids is a must on the CV. Serious question here however, how do they determine who the Pope should be...I have never read up on it and doubt I'm missing out on it but I'll ask someone on here for a short answer. If no one knows just make something up. Tell me they go to judges houses a bit like XFactor or in this case Pope Idol. I would believe it just for the sake of not knowing and being ignorant to what really takes place. The cardinals all vote. The new pope needs 75% of the votes to win. The one with the least votes drops out and this goes on until they manage to get one candidate with 75%. Link to comment
The Boofon
The new one was runner up last time. Well done to him for having another go after such a disappointment last time. It was the 5th ballot this time that he got the 75%. He's got a bit of Danny McGrain without a beard and suffering from AIDS about him. Also a bit Mr McGoo. Link to comment
The Boofon
Pope Francis the first, an Argentinian. What a palaver. Francesco I. Now they're debating it. Not in my room they're nae. Channel changed. Is the new pope Catholic? Link to comment

360
I was raised in an atheist family, which i shall be ever thankful for. However, I attend Midnight Mass at my local cathedral every year, it's a brilliant way to bring in christmas. Link to comment
