Aberdeen 2-2 Bayern Munich

Recommended Posts

14th February 2008

I just remember it being the slowest day at work ever

I worked in the west end at the time, left bang on 5pm and sprinted to Pittodrie. Just made it for the teams coming out and no more. My shins felt like they were going to collapse in on themselves.

There really is nothing like Pittodrie on a big European night, great stuff :scarf:

No as good as the Copenhagen game but still a great night.

What are your memories from that evening?

Aye chill bloots.

P.S. 2 games this season, 3 on Friday depending on how the darts goes.

Poor return this season in all honesty but still pump money into them in other ways.

I've ended up at more this season than the last two put together. Summer league for me means I can go in November, December and January

Managed a couple before that on Saundays and weeks I didn't have a game

Great night, was in section Y in the south was a tremendous atmosphere / bounce was like being back in the 80s

remember having darts afterwards a big pairs comp folk were arguing about the amount of folk coming back from the game wrecked. Anyhow think we got sent in the first round and started necking doubles before hitting toon, lost my arras (havnt been found since) lost a cap and missed the best part of work the next day.

We were lucky to see a night like that under calderwood, we will never see one again thanks to him

I was in the South Stand that night. Atmosphere was somthing incredible.

Felt surreal seeing the likes of Klose, Toni, Schweinsteiger etc on the Pittodrie pitch. The world's best right before our eyes and they couldn't beat us. Was sensational.

I just remember the utter disbelief when Aluko and Walker scored. I can't even remember jumping up and down celebrating, I think I just stood there unable to comprehend what had just happened. I was sitting right next to the second fence and when the second went in I turned round to see some guy in tears, literally in floods.

Not as good as the Copenhagen, but certainly ranks as the second best Dons game in my life. I think I will forever regret not seeing us at the Allianz.
