The brew dog ones were mentioned in another thread, maybe one of the geeks could move the posts to here?

I'll start off with a classic that I'm on now.....

Fine session beer and great in the hot weather, although not my favourite of its style.

Beer fact - we in Stephan is the oldest brewery in the world

STELLA ARTOIS.

4.8% used to be 5% and before that 5.2%, hence the nickname.....wife beater.

Tastes of summer days dancing naked through a wheat field with a red hat on.

After taste is like your favourite record coming on in a nightclub packed with half naked 18 year old's all writhing sweatily to the song.

It's a nice beer and can be drunk at all times of the day, it goes well with meat and fish or vegetables for that matter.

It was first brewed for Christmas as a one off but everyone demanded they didn't stop making it, it hails from 1926 and is brewed in Leuven, Belgium at the hands of master craft men, one is called Bill, the other Bob. It's also the favourite beer of style icon Dayts.

In my garage is a bunch of beers that I bought over Christmas. There's a big wine and liquor store just along the road, and they import weird stuff from all over, so I bought up a bunch and plan to drink them shortly.

I also plan to review them on my website, so if you need any tips on which beers to look out for and which beers to avoid I'll be starting to add beer to the list (currently sitting at no beers reviewed) over an indeterminate period of time.

Always the battler Dayts. :roids:

I'll hold my hands up and admit defeat on this one, one second walking happily across the main square the next waking up in a ambulance then again in a hospital, the cunt who hit me must have been fucking nails, I wouldn't be surprised if he posts on Krakow Chat as Dayts, he has all my attributes except I don't knock people out from behind, I always look them in the eye first. :sherlock:

Turkey - Efes, a fine beer which was very refreshing in the Turkish heat when I was over.

Argentina - Quilmes, no - never been to Argentina but I recommend a couple of bottles of Quilmes, a great beer - and just goes down like a treat, up there with the best beer I've ever tasted.

Scotland - Tennants, I actually enjoy a tennants pint, there can be some places where the beer tastes atrocious but that is due to certain places not cleaning their pipes on a regular basis.

Ale - Partial to a Newcastle Brown Ale from time to time, I used to drink it a lot more a few years back but it started giving me hooring hangovers, so cut down on my intake of it.

America - Coors Light, a beer I have quite regularly when on a night out, love a creamy pint of Coors, just goes down without touching the sides.

Italy - Birra Morreti - superb when out for an Italian meal, I could very much get used to a Morreti if I lived in Italy.

Mexico - Desperados, not overly arsed about a Corona.

Indian - Obvious choice of a Cobra.

Spain - Obvious choice of San Miguel, preferably in the beaming sunshine ogling birds in bikini's.

How can you compose a list in such detail but leave out beer heavyweights Holland and Germany, for my money the best pound for pound fighters in the beer world!

This is because when I was in Germany I have absolutely no idea what the beer was that I was drinking...I was an absolute shape when over there, I remember the beer being fine - but what it was called, not a clue. Haha.

I've also never been to Holland to try their beer, and I fucking hate Heinekken.

youve never been to holland min.

jesus wept.

Ever tried Birra Moretti? You need to.

It's a far better choice than Peroni.

Now you mention it, I have had an Erdinger - I think I purchased some bottles of that when the International Market was here, or something like that.

I had a pint of that Boddingtons before going to Maldives, I didn't like it.

Thinking of Maldives actually, had a Lion Beer and it was absolutely explosive. I need to try and find it again.

where did you go on honeymoon again betro?

ps - the only good thing about boddingtins is melane sykes.

Big fan of Heiniken - just prefer amstel!

My beers might be dreadful but most are on there because of the dreadful selection in our pubs! You drink something often enough you get a taste for it.

Tennants being the prime example! Terrible beer but probably the one i drink most of!
