That video only serves to show how much he wasted his early potential i'm afraid. His pace was lethal when he first burst onto the scene and some of those goals he finished extremely well too

Was a promising talent when he broke into the team, I forget who he was compared to (He wasn't the one compared to Owen, was he?) but he, like the Youngs and so many other youngsters at the club, seemed to go backwards rather than develop. There has to be a massive failing somewhere in our first team coaching methods, I'm certain of that.

 

Anyway, honest player who spend far too long at Aberdeen.

 

If he'd gone down south early in his career he might have been a better player. I suspect he would.

 

I hope he bangs in plenty for Phoenix, but the heat in Arizona... jesus... good luck with that, Dazza.

Christ knows, I've been too busy digging the bastardin stuff for the last 3 months to check the weather for other states... but it's possible. They've got the Snowbowl there, so presumably winter gives a sufficient amount of sna to ski.

 

The season for the USL runs through the summer months though, and if Darren's hoping for some sna then he'll be shit out of luck

Scored a fair amount against Hearts as well. He actually had a decent first touch in the early days! It is true though that a montage of goals will make anyone look good, I'm sure a similar one could be made with all his misses.

Amazed someone managed to make a video of Mackie goals & have it run for over 13 mins

 

Although it starts well without replays etc. but the further in it gets there appears to be a good few replays & time filling added

 

You could likely make a video of just his goals with an average of 10 secs per goal clip (all that's needed to show most build ups to goals) & it would only total around 8 to 10 mins max (& that would be ALL of his goals over the 37 years he stole a wage from the club)

10 second per goal for each of his 69 competitive goals would be 11 1/2 minutes.
