tup
I've noticed a new phenomenon on here recently, taking apathy to another depth nobody thought possible when we were conquering Europe 30 years hence. The 'Not Even Going To Check The Score Brigade'. Earlier this week we had: boofon - because he's had enough of Clangers being number 1. He's 'Not Even Going To Check The Score' in revenge for this fallacy. Today we have: Stoney - He's 'Not Even Going To Check The Score' because it will depress him! Any others who are going to join this new wave of utterly apathetic fans we're accumulating? 1 Link to comment
Foster14
I'm going to petitition FIFA and UEFA not to recognise Aberdeen FC as an actual football club. Link to comment
tup
I like to be innovative I think you're lying unfortunately. Same with boofon. This phenomenon has it's roots in trying to get under the skin of your fellow users on AFC Chat, no more, no less. 2 Link to comment

Aye, I thought maybe we could just do what the kids do, play the game, but dinna keep the score at the end, on the basis that nobody is going to check it anyway, so it disna matter what it is. 1 Link to comment
Redstar
It's not going to get any better tup...yesterday's announcement regarding Broon being given a seat on the board is not the news most were hoping to hear...hot on the heals of the news that the club had appointed a former copper as Community Officer to better connect with the fans...ultimately shows how completely out of touch The Chairman and his droog Yule really are. I probably will find out the score at some point as its bound to come up on SSN at some point....... But as for physically going to check the score......id rather not know. We arn't going to win, a draw is very unlikely so it then becomes a question of "How many" and im thinking it may be a considerable amount. Link to comment
Bluto10
by somehow reverting to new extreme levels of apathy you are displaying a new level of uber super mega fan. Link to comment

tup
Apathy appears to be the new fanaticism. I had no idea this apathy was so widespread, it just came from nowhere earlier in the week. I might try this not checking the score stuff, it seems to be a liberating experience, freeing your weekend of self-inflicted angst. I'm not even going to check the score tomorrow, fuck it! tup
Could go all out and not log into afc-chat either....? I rarely log in at the weekends min. I might just give up supporting Aberdeen altogether, imagine what else could be achieved? Just do Spurs on the box from now on. Link to comment

tup
You can check if you want. I only logged in last weekend as I was testing the water with a fancy new phone I got. Link to comment
vanderark14
bluto fails to check the score every week so this isn't a new thing. its not apathy, he just doesn't support AFC Link to comment
StandFree1982
I've never purposely not checked an Aberdeen score. I doubt many actually do, even if they say they will. They would likely eventually check! I'm not sure if it's any better, but I've "forgotten" that we were playing on a Saturday afternoon! Link to comment
tup
My whole weekend hinges on the result to be perfectly honest. If we win, or sometimes draw = good weekend. If we lose = too pissed off to do anything enjoyable. Link to comment

dave_min
Who are we playing this weekend anyway? As i've never been to Gayfield before, i'm gonna head there on Saturday to spend 90 minutes shouting abuse as Derek Young. Link to comment

Stand in a circle, most of you with your backs to the screen, wearing chinos and drinking Magners, not paying the slightest bit of attention to the football, maybe a cursory glance and cheer if ManU score, but claim afterwards you were "out for the game"? By next season, even checking the score will bore the tits off you. Link to comment
