Liam
Its seems that as a set of fans, weve all got to a stage where we no longer give a flying fuck about our teams league position. A few years of mediocre football, and there is a sudden acceptance of our shite league position. Top six is gone, yet there has barely been a mention of it. A few years ago we wanted managers sacked for not getting european football, and there was a real passion about the support. Now, we seem to just accept our usual 9th place. What is it going to take to get the passion back into the fans? The new appointment should help, but being Aberdeen no doubt we will go for someone fucking awful. So, what do you want your club to do to get your passion back? Or is it a case of you just dont give a shit anymore, and would rather save your cash and spend your saturday watching Jeff Stelling Link to comment

Some people just don't give the club/team a chance. Link to comment
Pudgie
Top six is gone, Eh, since fan? You're talking about apathy, and in the same post say top 6 is fucked! Link to comment
sheepiekev
Get a team on the park that attacks from the start.A team that is aggressiveA team that gets in the faces of the opposition.A team that when one of our players is pole axed, they wade in a let the opposition know not to fuck with us.A team that gets in the ear of the refs like we used to.A team that justifies having one of the bigger budgets in the SPL. 3 Link to comment
dj_bollocks
I don't think anyone thinks it's acceptable - but until that cunt Milne goes, nothing will change... That's why people don't care... Get a new Chairman in and you might find people are more motivated, but the people who run our club clearly don't give a fuck about it or us, and no one is listening to what we have to say anyway. After a while in an unfullfilling abusive relationship you just don't see a way out until fate intervenes... A bit depressing I know but it's just been too long for a team that really shouldn't be in the mess it's in. 1 Link to comment
Stoneybloke
I think we all know what we would like them to do but we know that they won't do it. And if they know that we know, then they know that they don't need to do it. So apathy continues on a downward spiral. Link to comment
Wayne'o
It's the board that f.cks me off They have made I not give a shit, they haven't for the past 10-15 years, they take take take and don't re-invest Look at the players that have left over the last 7 years, especially the ones that went for fees, Anderson grimmer McGuire fyvie aluko the first 5 that came to my head that's over 2million, and then the players that were on good wages that have left, severin,Nicholson Jamie smith etcWhere's all that money been spent? I can't see the players that are here now on those wages Link to comment
McginnAgain
Top six is far from over. Hibs will likely lose both of their games. Killie won't beat County, and are unlikely to beat both St. Mirren and Dundee. If we beat United, we'll probably finish above them. Everything to play for. Link to comment

THIS forgetting our board and how good/bad they might be, how hard is it to assemble something like this? I said top six is gone, its not a cert but pretty damn close to being one. This isnt acceptable. We should have guaranteed our top six status weeks ago. Scrapping into the top six in the last game and having to pull off some sort of small miracle isnt good enough. Seeing clubs like Caley and Ross county up at the top end of the league should be embarrassing for us. Our players should be ashamed at the fact that teams like this are higher than us Link to comment

Shall I copy the OP's style and say that we are definitely going to finish in the top six? Neither statement is true. 6th. Aberdeen – 447th. Kilmarnock – 428th. Dundee United – 419th. Hibs – 40 That's how I think it will finish between the four teams. Link to comment

But in all seriousness, we should be nap for finishing in the top half comfortably. We've just been let down by a manager who has proven to be tactically naive and players whose collective arses collapse at the slightest bit of pressure. Yesterday was unacceptable, but not surprising to me. Link to comment
Stoneybloke
Top 6 shouldn't even be in question... We SHOULD have been 2nd this season... Interesting thought, but can't see how it can be justified. There's nothing that says we should be anything. It shouldn't be overlooked that from its existence it took the club over 40 years to win its first major trophy. In the overall scheme of things maybe all we are is just an average provincial club, no different from the rest, and the Ferguson era of success was just a welcome aberration which may never be repeated.
