Ok whizz kids, what's the best program to use for converting a DVD into an MP4 or a file i can add to my iTunes library for playing on my iPad?

Obviously i'd prefer something which was free, however i wouldn't want to have some copyright bollocks over the front of the video i was playing as it would defeat the purpose

Can anyone help?

I tried about a dozen different programs, and finally settled on the clear winner in terms of picture quality.

Video Wizard by Bootstrap.

Every other program I used suffered from artifacts, pixelation, HORRIBLE interlacing, or just plain failure to rip drm'ed dvds.

Video Wizard 99 times out of 100 pisses on DRM and makes a sharp, perfect copy of your movie.

The customer service has been pretty good, although the guy I emailed with my problems was a bit of a prick, it's worth putting up with his shit to have this program on my PC. And I don;t suffer other people's shit gladly.

It's not free, but it's easily worth the 50 buck American. What's that, like 30 quid in real money?
