fine-n-dandy
Any good advice on a good system (value for money) The shed itself is reasonably well secured ie. double locked, hinge screws all filled down so cannot be unscrewed etc.But if anyone really wants in, they'll get in easy enough but will likely have to make a bit of noise about it. Reason I'm wanting extra alarm or something is cos some bastard nicked my garden bench sometime lately. Fuck know when or how cos the backie is high fenced all round so must have been pretty determined. Anyway, shed has decent tools, bikes etc. in it so will be a little more peeved if I lose stuff from there rather than just a garden bench (even though I put a lot of hrs into fixing up that bench) Shed has a double window but has hinged boarded windows/shutters on inside also & a double door. it's only a 6x6 shed but has power to it so system can be mains powered or battery. Like I say, if you wanted in you'd easy get in but I want to make it more noisy &(or) illuminated if it gets messed with. Any good suggestions (tried & tested ones please) I've looked at some & seen some with potential but if anyone has good experience of best ones it would be much appreciated. Can justify spending anything up to a ton. Shotgun rigged to trip wire on door (whilst a good suggestion) is not really the kind of advice I'm after (yet) Link to comment

Ke1t
Haven't used an external alarm system, but you might consider something that detects motion and sends a signal direct to a chime in your bedroom. That way you're alerted and not the robber, so you can steam downstairs and belt him with a bat before he even knows he's rumbled. Or call the cops, though if the Portobello cops are anything like the Grampian Polis, I suspect response time to a 999 call to be anywhere from days to never at all. http://www.amazon.com/EasyAlarms-Wireless-Weatherproof-Driveway-Outbuilding/dp/B001PPT5IC/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1363719182&sr=8-3&keywords=shed+alarm Silent alarm, sneak up on the fucker, cricket bat to the back of the heid, robber never seen or heard from again. Would have to rely on the wife's big black luver to do the shed protecting in my absence. Wonder if there's ones I could alternate between Silent (to my house when I'm home) & massive noise & flashing lights for when I'm away (to scare the cunts off) Link to comment
Notorious Chee
I would recommend this item to deter the local youth and this for the perimeter Link to comment
Ke1t
Remember the Sentry Guns they used in Aliens Special Edition? They actually exist now. A sentry gun will deter robbers and xenomorphs alike. Link to comment
