  1. 1. What are the mean reasons for the downfall in the Scottish game?

    • Players attitude and mentality
    • Lack of decent training facilities
    • The spending power of the English clubs
    • The fans expectations.

No, I'm not, and I'm certainly not putting on here what I told Rocket by PM, which is why I PM'd him in the first place.

It's not the same, it's completely different, and was introduced by Mark Wotte, and very similar to the Dutch system.

Instead of speaking and speculating from a position of ignorance, study it, and then let us know if you think it's a good idea or not.

I do think it's a good idea.

Mark Wotte's latest blog - thought this would be relevant to the thread. He's making the right noises but I guess it will be years till we see any real progress. Feruz is an interesting prospect as is Ryan Fraser. I hope Feruz can move up to Chelsea's first team at some point, he apparently does well for the youth side.

not the article I was looking for yesterday, still can't find it.

I blame Ian Durrant, the diving bastard.

I was going to say that earlier, that dive made kids all over Scotland think it was acceptable to take a tumble under a fair challenge, they've turned soft since.

The diving cunt.

More than fair challenge.

Durrant stuck his boot into the Maelstrom and was too much of a fud to handle a meaty, but perfectly fair, challenge.

What did the damage was giving the muppet a fucking coalie-bug aff the pitch.

You show me where it says to give an injured fud a fucking coalie-bug.

That is true. Old dear is an ex physio and his injury was discussed at a conference shortly after it happened. If Rangers medical team had used a stretcher and mobilsed his knee immediately he would not have damaged his ligaments to the same extent as he did because the way he was carried off the pitch and treated. Their fault not Simmies

When back at xmas time, we played 5s in a pretty basic sports centre hall (wooden floor, nae 4G or any of that good shit) near Edinburgh.

6.30 a head, for a fucking hour.

That doesn't help, nor does the fact it's only one of, to my knowledge, 3 indoor facilities in the whole of East Lothian which has a population of 100k.

Indoor, affordable facilities should be in every town over 6k. Two for towns over 10k and so on....

Kids have to much given to them on a plate these days.

There's no hunger to succeed, to better yourself in the game.

Chasing the quick £.

Footballers in the 60's, 70's, 80's had to graft really hard for what little they got then.

Hunger and desire.

Turnbull went to training on the bus when he played for Hibs. When he got the Aberdeen manager's job, he was told he would be getting a company car - so he had to learn to drive !!!! Changed days now, with the big 4x4s, Bentleys and Mercs.
