Patrice Loko was someone Ebbe was looking at, I seem to remember Loko had an Icons.com (or similar) website at the time where he was commenting on how Aberdeen had been in contact with him and how keen he was to join. That one didn't come off for some reason.

Just think, we paid 100 grand for Tommy Wright, whose level is somewhere around the English Conference. That's 2 Ferrie Boddes. We refused to pay 50k for Bodde who by all accounts is a good quality player.

Reminds me of Bisconti leaving. He was a quality player. One of the best midfielders I've seen in an AFC shirt (at 26 I haven't exactly seen many great ones though). I remember he wanted an extra 30k a year in his contract to put his kids to a French school or something? We said nit, fell out with him and released him early then not long later spent 80 fecking grand on Jamie McQuilken who was utter fucking shite. Should have just kept Jamie McCallister who went on to have a good career.

I am sure I read that Aberdeen had agreed a fee of around 800,000 for John Robertson, but signed Shearer instead. I think it’s in Miller autobiography.
