After a good season in League 2 where else was he going to go? League 1? If he impressed in League 1 then he'd get a gig at the Championship. So really - players doing well at League 2 is pretty much our level in terms of picking up English based players.

Seems a bit harsh on him. 3 clubs in his last 8 seasons is hardly journeymen.

 

A goal average of 1 in 3 during the last 4 seasons hardly puts him in the category of goal-shy either.
