DandyDon KD
who would you put in our midfield for next season? Link to comment
Ingolfsson
If it's a 3 - Flood, Robson, Jack If it's 4 - Hayes, Robson, Jack, Flood I'm not sure where Flood's best position is. Reckon he could play wide or centrally. Link to comment
Byrne Baby Byrne
left midfield - right midfield central midfield 7 Link to comment
Mr Brightside
I would like to see three in the middle with Jack, Flood and Robson. Plenty of energy and technical ability there which would allow Robson to float more and 'pull the strings' and create chances for a front 3 of Hayes, McGinn and Zola!! Link to comment
diamondsr4ever
it will be 4-5-1.....4-3-3 mcginn flood jack robson hayes Link to comment
Tord31
any two from Jack, Flood and Robson - with Flood as the first pick. Jack can additional games at right midfield and right back.Robson can get additional games at left midfield and left back. On the very rare occasion that every single player is fit then I'd hazard a guess it'll start as Flood and Robson in August but Flood and Jack as the season progresses. Of course all three when we go 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 Link to comment
slippers
1 of the central players playing as a defensive mid maybe as it would leave 3 at the back! jack flood robson hayes wylde zola Mcginn Link to comment
StandFree1982
Probably the best midfield we've had since Severin Nicholson and Smith. Link to comment
Mr Brightside
oooh forgot about potentially getting wylde...... looks like our squad might have some decent depth! Link to comment
newcastlered
I'd be tempted to put Low in for Robson he was one of our best players end of last season deserves another shot Link to comment
OddJob
I'd be tempted to put Low in for Robson he was one of our best players end of last season deserves another shot That's the thing, our midfield looks so much better now where we can even call on Low. Looked the part as you say, comfortable on the ball and not afraid to put in the challenges either Link to comment
Tord31
Would think Low will start many of the pre-season games if he graps his chance then it would certainly put cat among pigeons and maybe would see Robson left out or Jack having to start season at right back to get a game. Was very impressed with low in last couple games Link to comment
sooth_stander
Would think it will be 4-4-2, which obviously leaves us with a problem of who to leave out when all are fit, but given our history, when are all fit? Depends on how quickly Wylde settles in (if he comes) and whether Hayes ever finds some sort of form, but I'd have thought a midfield 4 of Wylde, Robson, Flood and Hayes would be first pick, with Jack slotting in at right back till injuries and suspensions dictate otherwise. Why 4-4-2? Hardly any Scottish sides play 4-4-2 these days. In fact hardly any sides anywhere play a traditional 4-4-2. I'd assume some interpretation of 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1 which are all very similar IMO. Personally I think 4-2-3-1 is simplest as 2 players clearly understand they have a responsbility in deeper areas of the pitch and that gives more freedom to the others ahead of them. Link to comment
The Boofon
Vernon should be given another chance in the centre of midfield. He played well there when asked to do so. Link to comment
Mikeyboy1903
Isn't anyone worried that we need a Bisconti / Osbourne type player to battle ? Link to comment

spamspamspam
Isn't anyone worried that we need a Bisconti / Osbourne type player to battle ? Isnt that what Flood is for? Jack also isnt afraid of a tackle but I'm sure, with his hight, Zola's may knock him about in the shower a little. Link to comment
Dynamo
Also think we might be at times a little light weight. Flood is a good ball winner though. Link to comment
Ingolfsson
Is Robson not exactly that type of player? Of course, his set pieces are good and shoots powerfully from everywhere. But his main asset had always been his energy and abrasiveness, the main qualities which made me hate the cunt when he was at united. He'll be the ball winner. Midfield looks excellent. Defence and keeper concern me. Will Considine be back for season KO? If not, I'd like another centre half as Anderson was, painful as it is to admit, torture at times last season. Link to comment
